I thought I didn't need a winch, but after we started down some very muddy mountain trails this morning, I turned around thinking there's a good chance we'd get stuck coming back up, as I was already sliding around a little. I probably won't use it, but I think it's best to purchase one for peace of mind. I'm looking at a Warn Evo 10-S winch b/c I like the low profile. But I need recommendations for a winch plate. I've noticed sometimes the installs on 392s are just a little different than the standard JL's (I'm looking at you, redline hood struts), so I want to make sure the winch plate I order will work with a 392 factory steel bumper and this particular winch before I order. Anyone got any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

I got the warn winch mount plate and it worked great with the quadratec stealth winch.

If you don’t want to have a winch, an inexpensive, yet effective, albeit very manual, is a come along.
I keep one with me, just because ya never know.
You can get a 5 ton fir about $75.

Simple solution, particularly if you think you may use a winch just 1x, if ever.

Forgot to add…
I installed the JCR winch plate.
They are made in the US (Michigan) and was very pleased with their products on my last jeep.
The price was reasonable too.

@JLK392 - I went with the Maximus-3 winch plate. Very easy install and it holds my rather large Badlands winch just fine.

Warn winch plate worked great for me. Stay away from the Mopar plate. But if you insist on staying Mopar i have one for sale.😉

Thanks for letting me know that. Mopar was one of the ones I was looking at.

I have the Warn Evo 10 with the Warn plate. Fit perfectly, no issues.

You've got those cables hidden nicely. That's been my only hesitation with this winch. My OCD can't handle a bunch of clutter with cables. Thanks for the pic. Looks awesome.

You will need the Maximus 3 filler trim plates for the sides if you are that OCD like me. Without them you will have exposed cables possibly but also the frame rails show. The filler plates hide all of that and looks very OEM

Yes! Thank you. I love how clean yours looks.

Got pictures? I have the stealth winch on my LJ. I dont need a winch on the 392 but am considering another stealth or a Warn for it anyway.

I have mopar plates because I had the dealer do install when I bought it. I haven't had any issues but I didn't shop around and compare all plates. I like the black grill on your blue.

Thanks! I get a lot of compliments on it.
