Who's running 38's

THa
At the time some heavy Baja Pro XS in 38s, just want to be clear, I twisted the splines, not the shaft itself. Yes on the truss, along with other things, in the shop right now getting most of it done. The RCV wasn't here in time for the install as I'll be out of the country for a month starting next week. Will put them in myself once back. Put it in the shop primarily for anything welding related along with the atlas.

Atlas, truss/gusset, HD ball joints, psc, hd tie rod/drag link, sector shaft brace with supplemental hw kit for the psc. To be honest, really wish I could have done the 60/80 but the cost is winning the argument against my bank account
Thanks for the feedback, gives me additional food for thought.

On the steering I'm looking to add the sector shaft brace as well but will hold off on the PSC until I get a feel for how the factory steering setup behaves with the 38s when aired down on the trails I do.

I've been using the Steer Smarts YETI XD sector shaft brace with frame side track bar reinforcement bracket (Part# 79052001) for over 20K miles with zero issues so far. And it's serviceable. It tightened up the steering & works very well.

On mine, just had added the lift, wheels/tires and did a shake down at an easy newbie friendly trail. After the air down spot, went to turn around slowly and had the steering lock up on me.

Moving slow without obstacles, no issues but knowing the trails I will do later prompted the psc kit. Even parking lots at very slow turning, I can feel the steering resisting at times on about 28 lbs. Didn't have this issue with my JLURD, but did add the apex boost kit, didn't help turning on obstacles in a couple of spots though where it literally ripped out of my hands in a split second.

Sold this a few years ago but it had a 2.5” lift and 38x13.50’s

Oh man, was hoping I had a chance with the factory setup.

On top of the lift, fender chop, tire carrier and tires I'm adding KMC beadlocks so definitely will be airing down to low pressures when on the trails I do.

Why is this hobby so expensive lol, will have to direct and a/c unit at my bank account to keep it cool

Looks great!
What lift?
New driveshafts?

Thanks!
3.5” Evo stage 4. Kings. PSC hydro. RPM steering. Custom front and rear driveshafts

Maybe I did. It’s good to post ways and ideas for people to be able to run the tires they want. And not everyone off-roads the same way . Some just are happy on a dirt road (no rubbing there)
Speaking of dirt roads apparently Falken is releasing a 38/13.50/17 vs of their ATW4 in Q3 this year.

Could be a good tire for several people.

Exactly what I was thinking about competition for more than one 38 inch tire with load range for Jeeps. More c rated tires please. Nittos are great tires they preform well. We just need more jeepers buying larger tires. The 392 should have come with 37’s or 38’s Jeep missing the mark on that one.
