Debating between 38 12.5 and 38 13.5 (3" lift going in soon)

17" wheels. -38 offset.

Show me what you got... Thnx

Nitto 38 12.5 ridge grappler, 3.5in lift from Teraflex, 4.56 gears, didn't change out the dana 44s. I also got 17in Fuel Rebel 5s but I don't remember the offset. It was the least aggressive option.

Nitto 38x12.5 RG's... 3.5" Lift from TF also.... 3.73 Gearing; no issues off road given amount of torque, good on highway... currently running KMC723 Trail wheels at 4.5 B.S.; slight poke.

What tire carrier should I look into? Im assuming I wont get a 38 on the stock one...

I'm currently running the Rugged Ridge HD Tire Carrier with plenty of room and no issues; although I'm planning on switching out to the Teraflex Alpha HD Carrier for the 8 lug... current setup:

I have the non XR came with 33 my nitto trail grapplers 35 would not fit on that stock tire carrier. Went with terra flex . Others in our club running 38’s will fit. No rubbing

I had the TF carrier, mount, and license plate relocate kit. Worked great with no complaints, had 38 and 40 inch tires without any rattling. What made me choose that kit was the ability to use it with different offset wheels to snug it up to the carrier.

Adjustability includes up/down and the depth for offset on wheels and tire thickness.

Yeah , I probably should have stated XR stock Carrier would fit a 38" tire.

This , I'm definitely upgrading mine to TF for same reason.

If you’re going to change out the stock rear bumper there are some great carrier options to get that heavy spare of your tailgate. Just a small regret for me stock bumper looks good but lacks strength and is easy pushed in to the Jeep tub.this hasn’t happened to me yet but I’ve seen it happen to others.

We did a Barbie 2.0 with a 3.5" TeraFlex IR suspension on 38x13.50 TOYOS and 20" KMC beadlocks.

Also, for anyone who wants a TeraFlex Alpha Tire Carrie Kit, Part # 4838920, I've got 12% off them right now. Just DM me for the coupon code.

True, however you can replace the cheap stamped brackets with Meatalcloak brace pair. Works for me.

This is great to know, previous rigs was on a bunch of MC components and didn't even realize this. Current rig isn't ready for a rear bumper as it's still farther down the list of endless $$.

Now if only I could find a license plate delete cover as I'm going to be relocating it.
