Anyone on the forum put down a deposit on the Jeep 392 today?

I had a Granite Crystal RAM 2500 diesel and that color looked great even 7 years later!
Put down 1k to reserve one. The dealership has 1 allocation. Is it normal or even acceptable for a dealer to require 5K above MSRP? Is that ethical?
Like many others I have a Corp discount of 1% below invoice and they said it doesn’t apply.

Ouch! I was told MSRP which I have seen for many limited production vehicles and am willing to accept so long as it is limited. I typically start negotiating at invoice as well. I have seen MSRP+ on rare occasions. $500 to reserve although the first place I checked wanted 5K to reserve.

Welcome to the forum @FallCityJeepster - I saw dealers have a similar mark up recently on the RAM 1500 TRX. I would keep looking around, I'm sure you could find a dealer that will sell it at MRSP.
I requested to put a deposit down twice; however, my local dealership said they would not take my deposit until a price is known.
I'm fortunate, they said they would not charge more than MSRP and they only have one 392 allocated to their dealership.
My Dealership has been Awesome! I feel blessed...
Just wish the pricing would come out soon! I've been checking EVERYDAY on all kinds of forums, to include this one as of today.

Does that show on your build sheet?
No VIN or price yet. I built one out and reserved it. I opted for the towing package and the liner for the hard top. I also got the reinforced tire carrier to safely haul a heavier spare. I had the option for a flat black grill but opted out of that since the whole thing will be gloss black.
I called all of my local dealers within 1hr drive. All but one wanted 5k over MSRP. The one in Kirkland WA wants 15k over. Avoid them!

My dealer went down to 2.5k over MSRP to be competitive with another local dealer. That saved me 2.5k thankfully.

I ordered mine on New Years Eve. Hydro-Blue, dual top group, off road cam. No pricing or vin yet
