My personal opinion is to avoid any oil additives. Sometimes you can really mess up the base oil / existing additive package and cause more problems than good. My vote would be to stick with a quality oil to begin with and do frequent changes, That’s just my 2 cents.

I’ve not experienced it in the Jeep or other 6.4s I’ve had, maybe due to the 0w-40, not sure. Ive always used Redline 5w-30 in my 5.7 as I’ve heard/read success in Ram forums at preventing it.

I’d also +1 to avoiding aftermarket additives though I am guilty of using Lucas ZDDP with my 10w-30 dyno oil in my 351w F100.
