Who's planning on ordering the Jeep with the new half doors? What will be the disadvantage to having them?

Know what you mean, I'm looking for factory 1/2 doors for my 2005 LJ, came close at a u-pull it yard in Michigan at $65 per door Mayish Timeframe last year but missed out. I was about 100th person in line to enter the yard at 0600 A.M. after they were allowed to open per Michigan rules pertaining to the Chinese Communist Party Virus restrictions. Someone else beat me to them.If you can, get the half doors. I love them in my 2003 TJ. I have full doors as well, but prefer my half doors. Try to find half doors for the TJs and you will get an idea of how valuable they can be. A little over $1,000 per door may sound high, but they are worth it, IMHO.
Oh wow! And, the person who beat you to them probably made a good profit if he didn't need them. If he kept them and is like me, he now has Tuffy door lockers to prevent them from getting stolen. Mine are in pristine condition and color matched, so I consider them highly valuable.Know what you mean, I'm looking for factory 1/2 doors for my 2005 LJ, came close at a u-pull it yard in Michigan at $65 per door Mayish Timeframe last year but missed out. Good question. I tried ordering dual top and dual doors as well, but it didn't allow me. It would be nice and I would be very surprised if the soft top is included.Definitely excited for half doors, I have them on my LJR and ordered them on this 392. I am curious though and it doesn't specify but did the dual door group include the soft top? When I ordered you couldn't get the dual door group and soft top. Our thought is because all the boxes in back however I saw a video on youtube and the poster said it included the soft top. Who can confirm?
I am replicating this 392 on mine. I got sting gray as well
Not sure about profit but when I saw the folk that had them in their posesson I noticed that the may have been shopping for particular items. They did seem to have quite a few other parts under their control and still working to get more that morning.Oh wow! The dual top group was an option when I placed my order but if it was chosen then the dual door option was unavailable and visa versa. I'm thinking that both options can't be packaged into the Jeep as one shipment, not enough room for the half doors and soft top packaging to fit inside together. I had to choose which option to take. The premium 4 door soft top assembly is available through https://parts.moparonlineparts.com for about $2350.00 ($450 discount) with free shipping. Enter vehicle make, model and year then Go to accessories and scroll down to tops toward the bottom. The screen shot attached appears to be for the non-tintedGood question. I know you can get them from the parts department at your local dealer. I don't think you can get them directly. The half doors didn't come with my 392. Can you buy these direct from MOPAR?
Quadratec also offers the half door components that can be purchased, painted and assembled but I don't know the cost of buying all the components to build the doors. I am also not aware of any way to obtain the complete doors other than ordering them as the Dual Door option when ordering the Jeep.I know you can get them from the parts department at your local dealer. That's true. They do have them at Quadratec, but as you pointed out, they sell them unassembled. You can buy all parts and assemble them yourself.Quadratec also offers the half door components that can be purchased, painted and assembled but I don't know the cost of buying all the components to build the doors. They make racks for the doors -The Dual door option was included with my build. The down side is what to do with the set of doors that aren't on the Jeep at the time or worse yet, what does one do with 8 doors when driving the Jeep with no doors on at all? I'm hoping to have the 392 to drive during National Topless day (May 15th) to cruise with no top and sporting half doors.
Should anyone know of a set of factory TJ half doors available for sale please let me know as I am looking to purchase for my LJR.
Yes, I know. Those pictured were backordered for over two months. They make racks for the doors -
I'm not having much luck finding anything as far as factory half door for my LJR. Attached are photos of the closest I've come to getting half doors but I missed out on the day the yard opened up for business after the CCP Virus shut everything down. Somebody beat me to them that was in line ahead of me for the place open.I have ordered a 392 with half doors and am piecing together half doors for my LJR.
Its not going to be easy. I got a pair for a good price but not paint matched. The drivers door has some bondo work to fill in what I can only believe are bullet holes. I ended up buying new skins from a place on eBay.I'm not having much luck finding anything as far as factory half door for my LJR.
