Good video…Aside from totally dissing the steering feel (It's a Jeep, Dummies!) they have a blast!
The bald guy might be a self-proclaimed “car enthusiast“, but he sure as Hell isn’t a Jeep enthusiast!
Totally agree… and all of those MPG numbers are still better than I get in my ‘06 LJ with 33‘s!Good video…
That's for sure. In addition to a couple inaccuracies in the equipment. He seemed to be unaware of the Off-Road + button and what it does as well. He could have been having even more fun despite his efforts not to enjoy it. At least the other guy, a self proclaimed "eco-friendly hippy," embraced the fun, unabashedly, after mashing the accelerator. The best part of the video was him being unable to control his laughter and continuing to romp on it, while the other guy is rambling about the inefficiency. To that point, he was averaging 10MPG in town over his week of driving it? He was definitely driving it very aggressively. I get 14.7 in town so far, 1MPG higher than my JK, and I definitely drive it more aggressive than I did the JK. Sh!t, did I just become and eco-friendly hippy too?
EDIT: I do want to give the bald guy props for pointing out that you are always aware of the power in the 392. That's a great point and a HUGE part of the joy of ownership.
I’m willing to bet that the tire pressure was way too high hence the “it skitters (sp?) across the ground and rides like it has 100 psi” My guess is that Jeep PR had a new XR dropped off from the factory and the PSI was high for transport.Aside from totally dissing the steering feel (It's a Jeep, Dummies!)
On FB Scott Blum said the Mopar shocks are better then the Fox. Not sure how accurate that is but he knows his shit. Also works for Jeep so maybe biased?Yup - exactly! There's a whole thread going on regarding that and how it's sort of screwing those getting the XR package. What made me laugh is that these "car guys" never bothered to look. They're not difficult to spot!
Probably biased, but a Fox rep would be too even on lesser products. They’re all guilty. But that’s okay. As long as customers and performance back the claims up. So far, feedback on the MOPAR versions has been positive. Now, if the Fox could have been tuned better or an upgraded model perform better… guess we wait until someone does a swap.Scott Blum said the Mopar shocks are better then the Fox. Guys, I have a question on the 392 Xtreme Package. The order site shows the wheels in gold. InThe videos the wheels look gray. Can anyone tell me what they really look like?
