Ouch. That hurt!
Exactly. Laws such as that one are hard to enforce. Many vehicles are coming out with loud exhaust notes and big mufflers as original equipment. Even if they go to manufacturers prohibiting them from doing this, the law would only apply to future car models and years.I do wonder what the states can do if we have an OEM exhaust. They can’t force us to go and find a quieter aftermarket exhaust. They’d have to force Stellantis to do a recall and I don’t see that going anywhere.
I’m glad you can take a joke. I feel slighted seeing members go into build status with a later date than my 11/27. I can’t imagine how you feel.Ouch. That hurt!
It’s relative to decibel rating. California and Virginia, they’ll measure it “x” distance from the exhaust. I had the Borla on an SRT in CA and was never bothered by the fuzz. I also wasn’t getting on the throttle. But it certainly wasn’t quiet either. I’ve yet to encountery any issues here in CO. But I’m also selective of when I‘m getting on the throttl.I do wonder what the states can do if we have an OEM exhaust. They can’t force us to go and find a quieter aftermarket exhaust. Its ALL ABOUT the AssClown in chief Phuck u Brandon and the bullshit electric car push…Gotta think the Harley guys (which I am... just "in between" right now ) aren't fans of rules like these either. It seriously is a safety thing on a bike (and we just like 'em loud, not gonna lie!) so I'd imagine there's plenty of leeway for legit builders and suppliers that make theirs to "regulation." My guess is the only ones who will really need to worry about this are the home mechanics and tuners just going for noise over function.
