I've never posted anything to a forum before so it's new to me so pardon any screw ups! I'm a long time Jeep and Mopar guy who currently owns a number of Jeeps from the 70's to present day. I decided to buy a 392 but when I went to my local dealer, they wanted 5k on top of MSRP since I was a "loyal" customer. Other area dealers wanted more. I told them I don't pay more for menu items at a restaurant so why should I pay more than invoice for a vehicle when a dealer's profit is already built into that price. I decided to search the web and found the 392Forum. A search of the forum had a post from Granger Automotive out of Des Moines Iowa stating that they are selling 392s for $6,000 under MSRP and TRXs for $7,500 under. I'm not a very trusting individual but reached out to them anyway about the post. To make a long story short, they were fantastic to work with, the order was seamless and the 392 arrived surprisingly in only 5 weeks from my down payment date (January 11th - February 14th). I flew this past Thursday to Des Moines, picked it up and drove it 17 hours home to Florida with a buddy. Thanks 392Forum for letting Granger post their offer so potential buyers have an option to avoid greedy dealers and thanks to Granger for making the purchase so easy and saving me 11k! Pic is off my new 392 and my 2012 JKUR.

Amazing!! Thanks for sharing and we’re happy to have you here! I’m a fellow Granger orderer and your story gives me hope mine will arrive sooner rather than later. I’ll have a 1700 mi drive home to CA if I go that route - still haven’t decided if I wanna ship it or just fly out and pick it up.

What options did you get on your Jeep? Any and all pics are welcome 😊

Welcome!!

Congrats on getting her so quick and the great experience with Granger. It’s crazy how so many of us have local dealers not willing to treat their customers the way they should,…..I had the same experience in my hometown and will be picking mine up from Iowa real soon as well. The amount of future business and referrals that a happy local customer can generate would far exceed any “market adjustment” these greedy a-holes wish to hit us with.

I hope I'm "replying" correctly as I'm a newbie to forum stuff. My options were paint color (Hydro Blue), Gorilla Glass, Sky One-Touch Power top, All-weather Floor mats, Integrated Off Road camera, Trailer Tow package and Trail Rail Management System. I didn't opt for the Heavy-Duty spare carrier simply because the Mopar carrier keeps the factory hinges and only reinforces the mounting bars. For the same price, I'll install a Tereflex Carrier which includes heavy duty hinges along with reinforced mounting bars. I also didn't opt for the Extreme Recon package simply because I didn't want 4.56 gears. Re-gearing is really needed for the Pentastars and Turbo 4's running 35's for optimal performance so I understand why that's part of the package but I don't really see the need with the 392 with 470 ft. lbs of torque. I rather have the higher 3.73 factory gearing for highway use since we travel to Ouray Colorado, Moab Utah and other western states from Florida on four wheeling vacations. On a sidenote, I did average 17.0 mile per gallon (Jeep Computer) on the trip back which I was impressed with making it the most fuel-efficient vehicle I drive!
