I always dreamed of owning a Diesel or V8 Jeep. My dreams came true(partially) when I purchased my 21 Diesel JT. After owning 2 3.6 JL's, a 3.6 JT, and a 4XE(wife's Jeep) the Diesel was an incredible improvement in overall driving experience when modded with bigger tires/axles etc. Unfortunately I modded the JT beyond it's daily fun factor fairly quick, and while I still love it, daily driving became a pain(too tall, too wide, loud etc.)
I ordered a 22 392 in November of 2021 and the long painful wait began. Six months later I finally had the Jeep, and honestly looking at the prices online I considered selling it for a profit. After driving it for a few days I realized there is no way I'm selling this Jeep. Having owned several sports cars it's not the fastest thing out there, but boy does it put a smile on my face. The shake when you start it, the incredible sound, and the goofy acceleration from a dead stop were all addicting. To my surprise this Jeep also feels incredible stable going 80-90mph.... Not something I can say about any other Jeep I've owned. To top it all off I somehow manage 17mpg with 37's which was also not possible with my previous 3.6's.
My plans for the 392 are mostly performance oriented, while keeping it exceptional as a daily driver and capable as a light off roader. I have my JT or my wife's 4XE if I really want to go crawl.
Here is my JT
