I'll be sending my first oil change sample to Mr. Speed's SPEEDiagnotix lab for the analysis. Eager to see how it looks.

If interested I believe he's still offering a discount until the end of this month with code YT10 at checkout to save 10%.

There's really no reason for this thread, there's like 40 others on here. Regardless, the manual calls for Pennzoil 0-W40 Ultra Platinum full synthetic every 6,000 miles or 6 months as a maximum interval and that's what it gets, do something else at your own risk.

A curious question. Why is it important to have an oil analysis? Would you tear your engine down if you found some form of contamination? Every time you change brands of oil the analysis will change............. If you simply use the recommended oil in the manual are you thinking you'll find some problems with it?

Answer: Purely for curiosity sake. I'm a bit of a data junkie and an engineering geek. I have no reasons to believe there will be any negative markers on the analysis panel as my 392 is a 2024 with very few miles. I'd simply like to know how the engine wears going forward. Who said anything about changing brands?! My quest is data collection for my own interests and knowledge as I learn more about oil formulations and the affects. Some people have no interest in any of this, as apparently you are one, however, I do. To each their own.
Have a nice day!

And I don't fault you for your interest. I was just curious as to whether there was something I should look for. I will rely on you to post anything you find, as an alert for the rest of us to look for. Thanks for the reply as I said just curious, not contentious.

I use to do oil analysis on my track and race cars but for my street cars I have not. However a lot of people do to see how things are in the engine and there's nothing wrong with that.
People are into oil...there is a whole web forum just for oil that is much like our Jeep forum where they talk about oil all the time.
Personally for me I just use the recommended 0w40 Pennzoil SRT oil. It;s been tested by others and is a great oil. My local Jeep dealer uses it too. However there are other great brands of oils in the proper SRT spec that would work too.

LOL! That wasn't the point of the post. Has the dyno video already been shared? I didn't see it anywhere. I just thought it was interesting. Who said anything about using something different?! Reread my posts. Thanks for your constructive input.

Are you using pennzoil 0-40 srt ? Would you mind telling the results when you get them?

I purchased my '24 392 new in April, so yes it has Ultra Plat 0w-40. I'll be doing the first oil change this weekend at about 800 miles and send out the sample for testing to determine the baseline wear numbers. This again is for my own curiosity sake.

To clear up ANY confusion, my intention of this post was only to show their dyno performance difference between traditional oil v. synthetic oil for those interested. I was NOT suggesting to use or switch to traditional oil in ANY engine that calls for synthetic oil. Again, It was a real-life test (empirical) that I thought may interest some people, regardless of it's method/process limitations. That's it!
