A curious question. Why is it important to have an oil analysis? Would you tear your engine down if you found some form of contamination? Every time you change brands of oil the analysis will change............. If you simply use the recommended oil in the manual are you thinking you'll find some problems with it?I'll be sending my first oil change sample to Mr. Speed's SPEEDiagnotix lab for the analysis. Answer: Purely for curiosity sake. I'm a bit of a data junkie and an engineering geek. I have no reasons to believe there will be any negative markers on the analysis panel as my 392 is a 2024 with very few miles. I'd simply like to know how the engine wears going forward. Who said anything about changing brands?! My quest is data collection for my own interests and knowledge as I learn more about oil formulations and the affects. Some people have no interest in any of this, as apparently you are one, however, I do. To each their own.A curious question. Why is it important to have an oil analysis? I use to do oil analysis on my track and race cars but for my street cars I have not. However a lot of people do to see how things are in the engine and there's nothing wrong with that.A curious question. Why is it important to have an oil analysis? LOL! That wasn't the point of the post. Has the dyno video already been shared? I didn't see it anywhere. I just thought it was interesting. Who said anything about using something different?! Reread my posts. Thanks for your constructive input. There's really no reason for this thread, there's like 40 others on here. Regardless, the manual calls for Pennzoil 0-W40 Ultra Platinum full synthetic every 6,000 miles or 6 months as a maximum interval and that's what it gets, do something else at your own risk.
Are you using pennzoil 0-40 srt ? Would you mind telling the results when you get them?I'll be sending my first oil change sample to Mr. Speed's SPEEDiagnotix lab for the analysis. Eager to see how it looks.
