The title says it all...

My 2022 Jeep Rubicon 392 XR (one of only a handful to be sold new to the Canadian market) was stolen from the Montreal Airport Parking Garage sometime between Sunday May 15th 4:00pm, and Thursday May 19th, 2022 9:30pm). No sign of forced entry. Both original keys in my possession.

Jeep was only 2 weeks old with less than 1,500km's on the odometer.

Fully loaded, Sarge Green, Xtreme-Recon package, Sky-touch power top, off road camera, gorilla glass, trailer tow package, LED's, steel bumpers, etc, etc....

VIN # 1C4JJXSJ1NW186846.

Heart broken, and as most of you know Chrysler has stopped production of the Xtreme Recon package for 392's, meaning my dealer cannot re-order the same spec..

Please keep an eye out for a vehicle matching this spec, and if one comes up for sale in your travels, please LMK.

Thanks.

Sounds like on of those key fob scanner thieves; that totally sucks.

Dang man that's awful! Crossing my fingers for you that they can find it! Will definitely keep an eye out, it can't stay hidden forever!

I think of this type of thing weekly when I park at the airport.
Just recently, car thieves have been stealing from the Denver Intl Airport parking lots and garages.

would a kill switch wired into the start/stop button prevent this? This would be pretty easy to wire up..

Nope
In Denver, they use tow bars and dollies, as well as flat beds.

Truth is, if they want it, they’ll get it.

Ooof, sorry this happened. You can't even get a 392 at all right now on order, let alone XR.

However, rumors around that they will be back for 2023. That doesn't help you know though. It'll be on my mind since I have a sarge green on order.

Hopefully it turns up.

That is terrible. I'm sorry this happened to you.

How on earth do they get away with a tow truck in an airport parking lot? Is there no security at all?

An unannounced tow truck pulling into airport parking lot should be like carrying a chainsaw into the Sequoia National Forest. How would a tow truck even get around in the garage?

Pisses me off to even hear stuff like this. Thieves should be severely punished. I would treat them harshly to the point they would not want to interact with law enforcement again. Treat them as rough as possible just short of causing PTSD (would force them to get a job and contribute to society). That would be the plan anyway.

If you carry yourself as though you belong, nobody questions.

Really sucks! I can totally imagine the pain. I worry about my 392 XR parked in my office building because it’s public accessible and there’s no monitoring.

It really is amazing how fast these tow guys can operate. Legit and otherwise. A few years ago I had an SUV that was dead, catastrophic failure caused by a bad engine oil sensor, and it needed towed to the dealer for service. It was parked at the end of my street. It wouldn't start or anything. The dealer said someone will be out shortly to get it. So about 20 minutes later I walk down the street so I can meet the tow truck and give him my keys. MY SUV WAS GONE. They took it that fast, and without the keys! Makes you wonder if some of these thieves got experience by working for tow truck companies.

Happened in KLAS last year to an employee. Parked in the paid parking garage. Sucks real bad, new Dodge Ram. A buddy had his catalytic stolen off his Prius at LAX parking garage.
