Guessing you are not going to lift your vehicle? I have a 2.5" metalcloak game changer with stock XR wheels and 35 Nitto trail grapplers. No rubbing with the red shocks but I have to go to a 4.5" off set wheel to run their RockSport Black shocks to prevent rubbing/tearing off the reservoir. Looking at the Icon Rebound Pro, have a couple friends running them almost as good as bead locks without the the rings and we air down to 10-14 regularly.I do wonder if a 9 inch wide wheel would look better on 12.5 tire than a 8 inch wheel I currently have.
Yeah I’m doing the AEV lift XP. Just waiting it to come in.Guessing you are not going to lift your vehicle? I have a 2.5" metalcloak game changer with stock XR wheels and 35 Nitto trail grapplers. What do the stock wheels weigh?Yeah I’m doing the AEV lift XP. Just waiting it to come in.
I like everything about the stock XR wheels except the weight.
Can one run the XR wheels without the beauty rings? May not look good, but should technically work.Because of centrifugal force, keep in mind the weight of the tire has much more effect on the "rotational" mass than the wheel does. Total weight (tire and wheel together) matters for lifting your spare off the carrier. But, if the concern is acceleration and deceleration, the wheel weight has much less effect than the tire weight.
Take 2 different wheel/tire combinations. Wheel/tire combo "A" has a 40 pound wheel and a 70 pound tire (total 110 lbs.). Wheel/tire combo "B" has a 30 pound wheel and a an 80 pound tire (also a total of 110 lbs). Wheel/tire combo "A" will handle, accelerate, and decelerate (brake) more easily than "B".
The effort should be more focused on saving tire weight rather than wheel weight, unless your riding dictates needing those heavier E rated sidewalls, etc. If you can reduce the weight of both the tire and the wheel, then great. But if you want to focus one, the tire weight is more important ... and less costly than the wheels.
I like the look of the MVX wheel, less complicated than the BR. Just my opinionYou like the design better too or just the color?
I was thinking that the BR was too busy as well. The MVX looks better of the two options to me as well.I like the look of the MVX wheel, less complicated than the BR. Just my opinion

Those look sharpThe BR was defiantly too busy for me as well saw them in person. I ordered these I only had 1 shipped to me so I can see it in person incase I didn’t like it I would only have to ship 1 back.
I got all 5 for 500 bucks! So I think I will pull the trigger on these and keep them.
What you all think on color and design?
I love 5 spoke wheels on jeeps but couldn’t find another I liked with offset and back spacing I wanted. I will probably keep the XR wheels too since I got a great deal on these.
