So my 2023 392 is not a daily drive but I have a Norco battery charger that I plug in when its sitting, the last couple of times I have started it I get a message on the dash that the "Auxillary switches are no available currently". I have a Tazer JL and the PIN that uses those switches, thankfully they have been working but I also noticed the Battery Voltage is jumping around from 11.1 to 13.9 volts while driving. I know everyone says the stock battery has issues, my Jeep is currently at 13,000 miles and I am going to replace it with something else. I remember a thread on this but could not find it. What have you guys been replacing the stock battery with?

I replaced mine with a yellow top, same '23 with about the same miles as well. Probably looking at odyssey later, if someone has gone this route, which part number/model did others go with?

I've replaced mine with an AGM from O'Reilly Auto (Super Start Platinum AGM A1 Battery Group Size 94R H7 850 CCA 140 Minute RC) with the longgest warranty that I could find: 4 years.

Same here with an Optima Yellow Top. We used to use Odyssey Batteries but something changed with them in the past 5 years and they just don't last here in the AZ heat like they used to or how Optimas do.

I installed an Optima when the OEM started acting up

Thanks for the feedback guys, I would never buy an Odyssey again had two fail in my 05 LJ in less than a year. Had issues with Optima Red tops never ran a yellow will check those out and the AGM from O'Reilly.

Identical feedback on the Odyssey. I had two and both failed me. Got them replaced under warranty and they've failed again just after the warranty lapsed. So no single one lasted more than 2 years.

Thats exactly what happened to me, had two that both failed a month after the warranty.

I went Optima yellow because I had one in my Raptor for 3 years with all kinds of lights and accessories and never had any issues

I have an Odyssey. It's a little over a year old and haven't had any issues so far.

These 392s seem to eat batteries. I replaced the original with an Odyssey and it only lasted 9 months. This time i went with an Interstate Battery from Costco since they are relatively cheap and Costco makes warranty replacement easy. Costco also sells a lot of batteries so stock isn't sitting on the shelf very long.

Damn... all these odyssey issues. Never would have guessed as I ran them a while back on cars with no issues.

My 20a is just over two years old. Stock battery died within a year, swapped in an Optima Yellow top, which died in a year. I'm now on my third battery.

If it didn't get so cold here, I'd spring for a lithium replacement.

I'm also considering a battery relocation, I have the kit/parts on the shelf. the next time I have to mess with it, it's getting moved underneath. It does require a different sized battery.

This will free up ample room for an ARB twin in the space of the factory battery.

Just replaced my 2021 factory battery with a yellow top. So far so good!

If yours is 2023 it is probably still under warranty. Why not get a free one from the dealership?

Since my 2022 392 is stock, I replaced it with the Walmart option:
EverStart Platinum AGM Automotive Battery, Group Size H7 / LN4 / 94R 12 Volt, 850 CCA
Also, since it is recommended to charge it to full before installing, I bought the Genius10 charger.
The total spent with both was about US$279.00.

Don't get an Optimum Battery!
I had just purchased brand new Optimum battery to replace my stock battery since my jeep failed to start. With the new Optimum battery, still no joy. I had the Optimum tested to eliminate it as a possibility of my jeep continuing not to start, and after the test I was told it was the alternator... it wasn't the alternator. I returned from NJ to replace the old alternator with the new custom one that I had purchased. I removed my Optimum battery to ensure it was fully charged since it is what is needed when replacing the alternator, a fully charged battery. Well the battery that was not an issue, would never hold a charge.

I exchanged the Optimum with Die Hard Platinum. Received $139 back on my debit card along with a 4 year warranty. Put it in my jeep, and it fired right up. Lessoned learned.
