Stellantis “official” MY’22 build start date: 12/16

Tuscadero-Jeep.webp

December 9, 2021 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Since ordering opened in August 2021 for the limited-run Tuscadero exterior paint color for the Jeep® Wrangler, the head-turning hue has racked up nearly 30,000 orders, making it the most popular Wrangler special-edition color this year.

“We expected Tuscadero to be popular and the customer response has been overwhelmingly strong," said Jim Morrison, vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “It's so popular, we're extending production into 2022 model-year production to meet strong customer demand. Customers can place an order through December of this year.”

The audacious Tuscadero, a deep and intense chromatic magenta, joins a lengthy lineup of vivid, special-run colors, including Gecko, Chief and Nacho, all of which add customization and appeal to the Jeep Wrangler with a special color palette straight from the factory.

Available on all Wrangler models, including Sport, Sahara, Rubicon, 4xe and 392, the Tuscadero exterior paint option can be ordered now through December 2021 and is priced at a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $395.

Does anyone know when Jeep will provide notice to its dealers about the 2022 Jeep 392 allocations? I built mine in late October.

Did you receive a new VIN since it's past the '21 cutoff date?

I think it's more priority build 01 now on customer orders. Don't know if there's actual allocation anymore - at least it seemed that way once I gave up on a '21 and started looking to order a '22.... BUT:
Actually Yukon has been known to make mistakes... from time to time...

(and please somebody get that reference!!! ;) )

“We’re doomed”

I also just got a call from my dealer with a build date of 12/28. Ordered 9/10
It’s a 2022 build for which your dealer has already been allocated a unit?

I ask because I did my 2022 build sheet in October and my dealer says that the order hasn’t been picked up by Jeep, but it hasn’t been canceled yet either “so that’s good.” They say since Jeep hasn’t made the allocations yet the order hasn’t been picked up.

If i understand you correctly then Yes, It is an allocated order. I know the order was picked up back in September. But it was then switched to a 2022 and was given a new vin #

Ok. Thanks. I’ll be looking for a better update from my dealer than my order hasn’t been cancelled.
