I’m looking for a side step to my wife can get into the jeep. She doesn’t have any problem getting into her 4XE, but 392 is a bit too high for her. I need a good recommendation for something that doesn’t cost $2000. It may be around the thousand dollar range thanks everyone.

For just basic steps I've used N-Fab for years. Easy install and reasonably priced for a quality product. They have a couple different styles to choose from as well. I am not affiliated with them at all. Just a customer. The set on my 392 I purchased from Amazon. Below is the link to their website. If you want step/rock slide combo you'll need to look elsewhere.

N-Fab Side Steps

I have the Sahara model side steps and love them. Nice wide and flat and grippy

Rock crawling or general off roading? Rock Slider is best for Rock Krawling but if not I have the drop down side step you can find anywhere

I know the steps are extremely expensive. However I can’t recommend the rock slide steps enough. It helps my 4’-10” wife and two year old get into the jeep.

N-Fab make a very good one. First thing I did was to get one and put it on.

If you want a cheap option, the factory side steps from other people's JL takeoffs looks simple and are effective.

I ended up with the Mopar Tubular 82215327AB side steps. They are metal and sit high, as high as the interior floor. They block the rocks and keep the mud from ending up on the inside of the windshield.

Using the Westin automotive hd side steps. Look nice and conveniently designed to help access. Game changer for my wife and 5 year old son.
And reasonably priced!

I also agree about the Sahara steps. I bought a used set off of CL for $75 thinking it will get me by until I find the “real” ones I want. Wife loves these, and I think they look ok. What is nice is that when u step out in the rain and pivot to get out, the steps are wide enough to not slip off.
I may keep them permanently. Looking into electric ones, but not sure anymore. I have come to really like these.
Fwiw, I don’t plan to hardcore wheel with this rig, which is the only reason I didn’t get Poison Spyder Customs Rocker Knockers again.

Rockslide all the way. Helps keep the peace in the marriage - accessibility is necessary but I don’t like things hanging down all the time.

Yes. @Chief96 These are the Sahara ones I was referring to. They are great. Cheap. Rugged/heavy duty. & bolt right on. Look good IMO

Hey we have quite a few options, Go Rhino alone has a ton of options: https://www.jeep392.com/threads/go-...ds-d6-all-in-stock-for-the-wrangler-392.3773/

We have the Xtreme D1s on my wife's 392: https://justboltons.com/go-rhino-do...rangler-jlu-392-4-door-with-brackets-d14506t/

Also dubs a good door ding protector from other cars.
