Excited to share with everyone our latest shop Jeep - it's a 1980 CJ7 with a Chevy 350, Dana 44s, 38.5" old school Super Swampers, and a whole lot more! We're still getting it dialed in, but the retro vibe is unmistakably cool!!!

Who had one of these growing up or in high school??

I have had several CJs over the years. Yours looks fantastic. It is nice to see a clean simple classic Jeep. Good work guys! Post some more pictures of that bad boy. I would like to see them.

I currently have a 1973 CJ5 that has undergone a complete frame off restoration, but with a goal to keep it as original as possible. It has a new (not rebuilt) 304 crate motor, and all freshly rebuilt stock drivetrain: Borg-Warner T15 Transmission, Dana 20 Transfer Case, Dana 30 front axle and Dana 44 rear axle. Even the wheels are original 1970s era wheels from a Jeep Renegade.

I wanted one, but was too poor. Had to wait until I was 38 to afford a 7 year old TJ. :ROFLMAO:

There are several numbers cited. The one I think is most accurate is 160 HP. In this little lightweight Jeep, it feels strong though, especially the off idle torque.

I had a 1980 CJ5 with a Chevy 350 under the hood. It was stronger but had issues with inadequate cooling.

Soooo cool having that is a CJ. Heck , they are 1/2 the weight of our 392 Wranglers.

That jeep is gorgeous. Makes me want to go find a CJ7. Not sure how I can hide that from the wife. LOL
