Has anyone installed these steps on their 392? The instructions I got with the steps are tailored to the JL. The videos don't talk about 392 either. Specifically I was wondering how the cable harness is routed from the battery to the cross member. I'm seeing lots of heat tape in that area. Anyone have any inputs or pictures on the routing? Any other 392 specific installation tips would be appreciated.

No problem on mine either

I have put these on 2 392 wranglers, no problem.
That's good to hear. The only part I'm questioning is the routing of the harness from the battery to the 1st junction in the step harness. It looks like the 392 encases wiring in a heat shield. How did you do the harness wiring in that part? Thanks...

Be more specific, the 392 under hood temp is higher than the other motors, even with the AMP we are coming in the vehicle at the battery not going across the vehicle and then through the firewall on the drivers side.

Must be nice to even have them. I ordered mine in July and my guy says they won't even ship until early December (really??) Does anyone know how to get these sooner? I want the Gen III. Thanks

I got Gen 3 in less than a week at Rubitrux.....

Did you install the Rockslide Engineering steps? Can you tell me where you came up on the drivers side to enter the cab. There is lots of heat protection material that would have to be punched through. The directions are not 392 specific.

OK, I feel pretty stupid....I was trying to route the wire harness over the front cross-member...should be routed over the rear cross-member...

Hey all!
Is the look with all the sensors and magnets, still fairly factory looking? Or is the amp research better? This is the only upgrade I’m planning. I went overboard on my last Jeep and trying to stay as factory as possible on this one. Thanks for any advice!

Sweet! You love them? Thanks so much!

Finally got the RSE Gen 3 step installed today....the biggest help was downloading the latest revision of the installation directions, the ones that came with it didn't help much in the area of cable routing. Also, the install time of 3 hours turned out to be more like at least 3 hours per side for me. It would help having 2 guys when lining up the steps, I used a floor jack. They work great and make getting in the rear doors much easier.

Awesome.
You think they are worth it? Happy with the way it turned out? Thanks so much.

I ordered mine last week directly from Rockslide Engineering, the estimate on the website said 2 months or more. I just got a notification that they shipped yesterday...ha! So I hope yours get there soon.

@BenLandry, thanks for all of the info and pics, I look forward to installing mine.
