Hey all!,

I have a 23 wrangler 392 with a long arm kit installed. Looking for suggestions for rock sliders with a step? Not with a drop step but just protruding out a bit. LOD ones I liked but they mount to the control arm so it would only work with the factory arms or short arms.

Any recommendations?

I had my Genright sprayed with Linex and they make a good enough step for me and the kids but the other option from GR actually has a step and I kinda wish I had done them instead for more step surface.

My friend has a 2024 392 and just installed the Evo rock sliders which have a built in step and they are nice

All of these can either be bolted or welded on.

The 2025's actually have new rock sliders with what Mopar call step assist. I haven't had a chance to really test these rock crawling yet but they look promising.

Aren’t those 2024 same ones? Mine have the wider ones and that is almost necessary since mine is lifted now.

I put White Knuckle off road sliders on my 21 392. They mount to the frame and can be angled up at 45 degrees or 90 degrees depending on what the owner prefers. They are tough as heck, have them on our farm truck too.

I just put on Rock Slide Engineering steps and really like them. My brother-in-law and I installed them in about 3-4hrs. Not bad install and plug harnesses. Some annoying parts with some of instructions not clear. Can figured it though.

Those have been around for a while and came on some of the special edition Jeeps. They still mount the same way as the regular Rubicon rock rails (three bolts into the tub and 6 into the pinch seam), so they don't make a very good "heavy duty" rock rail if that's what someone wants.

My $ is on the Rock Slide Engineering electric step sliders. They can take a beating but still give you a very usable step that retracts when not in use. Their latest Gen 3 steps are very reliable and we also offer a huge forum discount on them.

I got these Mopar slider steps because I wanted something factory looking and not sticking out so much, but once installed they stick out so little you can barely use them. Getting in the vehicle I almost never use them but getting out when you want something to shift your weight onto, if you're in sitting in either front seat there's only about 2" of usable surface width. Not useless but I wish I went with something that went out around 3" or so. Not easy to find.

I did a bunch of research on this and decided to go with the LOD Destroyers. Mainly wanted something that gave protection but really helped the kids and wife climb in. They’ve been sitting in my garage as I haven’t had the time to install them. May just have the dealer do it. Anyone installed the Destoyers? Are they a PITA?

Yes, they are kind of a PITA. My friend has a lift and that probably helped a lot.

Space wise I have a Clayton Off Road 3.5” lift so that wasn’t a problem. The lift is less visible due to rim and tires size. My pain was the plugs were not clear, whether front or back. And the magnet sensors also not clear and some cases not long enough to be placed where the instructions stated. I also had the doors off kit that made it a little more interesting.
