Hey All,

I’m kinda wishing I didn’t install the Tazer, because I wouldn’t be running into this issue.

Bought a Tazer, updated the firmware, married it to the Jeep, and called it a night.

Next morning start up the Jeep, and my screen won’t turn on. I tried to hard reset it, and nothing. In addition, no function from my Tazer. I pulled it out and I’ll tackle the troubleshooting when I get off work.

I already contacted ZAutomotive to ask them what to do. I’m curious if any of you have suggestions for me.

I’ve read to attempt to unmarry the device and disconnect/reconnect the negative battery terminal. Maybe I’ll try that later.

Who has advice for me!!

After you married it, did you do 2 full sleep cycles?

I’m not even sure what that is or how to do it. So probably not
PM @Smess, he had a similar issue I think and ZAuto helped him. Once you get this issue resolved, and you will, instructions say after any settings changes other than live functions, do a full reboot and 2 sleep cycles. Probably won’t help you now but going forward you won’t have issues.

Try disconnecting the battery, let it sit about 20 mins. The connect it up and see if your screen comes back. My battery was dead and after charging I had no screen. This fixed it. On another occasion I lost climate control. The computers can get confused, removing power resets them.
