I just went to install my Tazer Mini and I found this light grey plug not connected to anything. Any idea what it is for? Everything seems to be working in the Jeep.

Not sure what those are used for - but even my 4Runner has one???

This is super late but realized it wasn't answered. When you install the Mopar brake controller or an aftermarket one, that's the plug you plug into. It should only be there if you optioned in towing for your Jeep.
This is good to know. My brake controller shipped today.

yeah... that seemed the cleanest option. I don't use the lighter socket anyway.
Make sure you pick up a lighter socket puller tool, makes it a lot easier to get out. Also take your time mounting the controller module under the left side dash, getting the existing christmas tree cable tie out of the mounting hole and getting the 1st bolt in there was the hardest part for me. It would go easier if you have an 8 year old or midget available to help... 🤣

Ditto what @jc said. It's a huge pain in the (back) if you haven't installed the controller module before. My advice is to take lots of breaks and make sure you have a lot of light down there. It's very hard to do if you have a hard time seeing all the holes and connectors.

That midget could come in handy for so many Jeep projects!

I ordered the tool along with the controller... AND.. I just happen to have a little person that lives next door.... Maybe he can help?

I recently saw a "creeper" designed to work under the dash, it has a "diving board" like surface that extends inside the vehicle making a flat spot to lie on you back to work under the dash.... Seems like hat might be handy.

Thanks! I actually forgot I asked it! So its just this one plug for the controller? Pretty nice.

Good find! I definitely need one for all the awkward under the dash jobs. I still need to install my GMRS radio and under seat air compressor. This will save my back!
