Curious if those of you who have an XR right now or on order - are you planning to lift and 37s? With the non XR for me it was an easy decision - upgrade right away. But the more I look at these XRs, the more I appreciate how they look stock. I am close to ordering my XR since my non XR is still in D status. Just wanted to get some thoughts from the group.

Plan to keep mine stock.

The 392 XR just looks so good IMHO.

Plans and thoughts:

- Will keep the stock tires until I’ll need new ones. Will probably go 37’s.

- I’m debating if I should remove the end caps of the steel bumper group.

- No body armor nor side steps or rocker upgrades. I like the rubi rails and the Rokblokz mud flaps have that cut for rubi rails so any other rails will require a bit modifications to the mud flaps.

- Will do my first oil change soon and I’ve got M0-899 filter as an upgrade.

- Still debating on winch and bull bar due to no real off roaming in short term. But do like the look.

So far I’m only doing very small mods. Anything I’m not settled won’t get me to change the stock setup.

Although I wish the ride was a little stiffer, I'm probably not going to mess with it. If I do anything at all, it will be the AEV lift as I've had that on previous jeeps and it rode like I want.

Planning on full AEV jl370 package. Looking back realized now probably should’ve gone not XR if I was gonna go this route. The only good thing is that 4.56 gears will be factory. I will probably use the factory wheels for a winter set up

Was going to do that if I could only get a non XR. Either way, still cool to do it. Please post up pics when you get it to make me envious. :p

With the AEV lift, which shocks would you run?

Plan to stay stock until my tires wear out. From there I am 50/50 on staying stock and getting another set or doing a lift and going to 37s. If I do go with a lift it will be RK 2.5 adventure series or the MC 2.5 game changer. I will also go to Fox 2.5DSC shocks, upgraded axles, new driveshaft, and a Steersmarts setup.

Currently it drives and wheels awesome with the stock XR package so no complaints other than at some point it would be fun to switch it up.

Having lived through an aftermarket gear disaster, a factory warranty on gears is important to me.

You can install Rokblokz without modifying anything. They work no problem without cutouts. Both with stock Rubicon rockslides and with Mopar performance size rails :)

I was talking about the pre-cut area on the front mud flaps designed for rubi rails. The rubi rails have to go through the flaps a bit.

When I installed the rear ones, I had to cut the factory plastic trim cover to fit:https://www.jeep392.com/threads/rok...flaps-xl-installed-on-392-xr.1162/#post-16860

Staying stock. Seen these in person at the dealer and it’s just right.

I know, I bought them without pre-cuts and they fit just fine, actually I like them better this way as they are more perpendicular to the ground and hence look more aggressive imo.

Stock! Until tires wear out...then 37s. ✌️
I don't want to change anything else. It already rides like a dream.

Current Plans:
  1. Winch (Badlands 12k w/ Warn Winch Plate for Stock Steel bumper)
  2. Remove bumper end caps
  3. MTX125 GMRS Radio
  4. American Adventure Lab Aluminum Inner Fenders
  5. AAL Cargo Rack
  6. Underseat ARB Dual air compressor
  7. Ditch Lights
  8. Highline Fender LEDs
  9. Dead pedal

Future Plans:
  1. 37s after stock 35s wear down
  2. Powdercoat stock XR wheels
  3. 2.5-3" lift
  4. Underbody protection
  5. Catback Exhaust
  6. Tazer

I guess I’m the oddball here. Adding a 3.5" lift with fox 2.5s, front bumper and warn winch when it comes in (removed the end caps till then), 37s, full skids, etc. I plan on wheeling mine, so 35s wasn’t going to be enough for me. I may or may not do aal inner fenders. It will depend on how much room is there when I get all that done. I don’t want too much gap there.

Keeping stock. Really see no need for 37s, especially for mall crawling. The 35s already make it look imposing. Keeping lift same height.

Only thing I am considering doing is upgrading the shocks. Looks at the SDI EClik system mainly to reduce body roll.
