Just curious if anyone notices a difference in performance when exhaust is open vs closed? My highly accurate butt dyno swears that throttle response down low is not as responsive when performance exhaust is open. It feels boggy. To be clear, I am not talking about going 100% WOT from a stop but just a linear but aggressive acceleration from a stop while city driving.
When exhaust is closed, the throttle seems to respond quicker at initial acceleration.
I don't know if there is a change in back pressure that could be causing it or it could just be my ears playing head games. It could be that when exhaust is closed, I tend to get on the throttle harder to get it to the point that the exhaust opens automatically versus when the exhaust is in open mode, I am more mindful of all the ruckus it makes so I tend to be more conservative initially when stepping on the throttle.
Thoughts?
