One Touch Roof Leak

I bought my '24 392 FE New (old stock) a couple of months ago in Southern California. Today is the first significant rain since purchase, and I noticed leaking around the one touch power roof in the front seat area of the passenger compartment. See the attached pic (video just wouldn't upload). It's more pronounced on the passenger side vs driver's side. I was a few blocks from the dealer (Cerritos Jeep-Dodge), so I swung by and showed it to them. I have an appointment on Monday with them to have it looked at. (all under warranty)

It seems to only happens as a result the vehicle being in motion or having just been in motion - I think mostly when I'm decelerating...There was no water on the seats when I first got into the car this morning (it had been raining for hours by then). I drove to Home Depot and parked,. After shopping I came back to find quite a bit of water had dripped onto the seat while I was shopping. I currently have a towel on the seat, and will check on it periodically just in case anything is developing.

Anyone experience this themselves or heard of it happening before? Any ideas or suggestions? tia! and merry Xmas!!

Take a look at the two seals that run the length of the roof on both the driver and passenger side. They tend to get pushed up / unseated or are loosely installed. There’s butyl rubber sealant that seals them to the roof. Mine got pushed up a small amount from a lack of sealant. I just applied a small bead to it and it solved mine. There’s a TSB on it I’ll see if I can find it. If you’re handy you can do it yourself.

I had a 22 with SOT that leaked and after 8 visits starting in around July of 2023 to the dealership for repairs under warranty (EVERYTHING WAS REPLACED) and in contact with Jeep Cares I went with a Lemon Law attorney to file suit with Stellantis. I had all service records and met the criteria for a buy back. The attorney fees of $3500 were covered by Stellantis and instead of a long drawn out court case (estimated two years in NY state). I settled for $14000 (with the option to keep vehicle) and Jeep Cares kicked in Employee Pricing on my current 25.
Keep all service records and depending on where you live you may be able to file under your state’s Lemon Law.
The dealership experience ranged from “it’s a Jeep it leaks” to “park uphill so the water drains correctly”…stick to your guns and fight, I did and it paid off.

Waiting for delivery of my 392 with my first ever SOT. Funny how I always naturally park facing uphill from the old CJ and TJ years where the drain plugs are in the rear of the floor pan. Hopefully, mine won’t leak. We get tons of rain in an instant in FL.

I have a 2022 with SOT. Been through some heavy rains for hours and never any leaks. Wonder where the problem is with the leakers? It does live in the garage when not on the road.

Thanks for the replies. This info could come in handy if things go south. (No indication that'll happen so far).

Dealer has had it now for about a week. The service tech was up front and told me that I was a lower priority with the holidays and year end priorities. They arranged for a complimentary loaner (a relatively awful Compass with a bad key fob that has required a trip back to the dealer for fix).
To the tech's credit, he proactively called me today to let me know that the mechanic is ordering a new seal/gasket kit and will be applying it once it arrives from Mopar. Finger's crossed. Stay tuned...
