I just read in another thread about OR+ and I’m wondering if someone point me to where I can find more info on off-road+ And why you’d use it on the road? If this kind of like a “sport” mode for the 392 if you used it on-pavement?

Short answer is yes to sport mode. I just drove it in that mode on the way home from the store just a few minute ago. The transmission stays in lower gear both while accelerating and decelerating. I did not notice a throttle response shift but its very possible because it was a relatively short trip. It is very noticeable. Traction control turns off but you can turn it back on and stay in off road +

Wait, I can drive around town in Off-Road+? idk why I didn't think of that. Going to try that next time I'm out. I've only used it for launching.

Between stop signs its especially fun... right before it shifts into the next gear... let it decel... lots of pops and burbles... love to make noise

I can just put in Off-Road and drive around all day? And yea I've heard the sounds change. It's awesome lol.

I’d love to hear your guys comments on the paddle shifters. A couple of YouTube videos I watched said they aren’t that responsive. Any change in response in off-road+? I drive a Grand Cherokee Diesel as my daily driver, and use the paddles all of the time. I can only imagine that the paddles with the Hemi are going to be a world of difference for me. I’m guessing that in OR+ on a winding road, using the paddles has to be a lot of fun, and a lot of fun sounds.

Shifts better imo.. but there is a lot of delay

Since yall are playing the offroad+. See if yours will go into 4cyl deactivation mode in offroad +. I have not been able to get mine (which is good), but another poster on here said off road + does not prevent 4 cyl deactivation. Need more research.

It still enters 4 Cyl with OR+ on.
It is a little less often due to the throttle position and shifting points changing.
But it’s active.

Here's a couple videos I did where you can hear the difference Offroad+ makes. Sound in the video doesn't do it any justice but it does have some nice pops and burbles... also shifts much better and feels a little "crisper" at wot

Little acceleration
