So weird situation wonder if anyone else has experienced (search turned up no exact results).

Started up my 392 yesterday after it was parked for an hour….and had absolutely no power steering. I turned it off and opened the door and then restarted and I was back to having power steering. Checked all my grounds, fuses, plugs and batt terminals and all good. It has not happened again since.

Worth noting, I have a PSC steering box, PSC hydraulic ram, but stock PS pump with apex boost kit.

Anyone else experience this? I am assuming this might be my oem pump starting to shit the bed. Curious if anyone has any thoughts. Pic for attention :)

fluid levels good? also is it abnormally cold out right now? I had hydro in my yota crawler and when it was really cold out it would take a long time to get the hydro to warm up and work right.

Post 828 starts my saga. I am not 100% certain but I believe it was all caused by a wire in the passenger tail light rubbing the tailgate rail that swings into the void (post 910)

Yep fluids good good call out. I live in SoCal, probably hit the kind of cold you’re thinking about!

It wasn’t sluggish or anything. There just wasn’t any power at all until I cycled the Ignition. Super weird 🫣

Ha. Looks like I responded a few times to your post. Guess I forgot about it. I initially though ground issue as well but I also rechecked all my grounds all looks good.

I guess I’ll just see if it happens again amd figure it out then.

I just hope you don’t go through what I did lol

I think it was a ground issue. Found one in the fender that was a little loose. I just had the heater core replaced so I’m assuming the dealer disconnected some stuff while working on it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What happened to heater core?

It sprung a small coolant leak. And then it sprung a big coolant leak. About 1k miles past my warranty 😬

common problem since the JK’s.
Bummer first I have heard about this ,how many miles?
