If there is one thing i have learned about owning a jeep it is that there is literally no end to the amount of money you can spend on accessories. And the options are endless. I'm looking into Half doors. And i am overwhelmed by the choices. And the spread in cost. From what i can find you can spend between $600 and $2700. I am drawn to the doors that have a mesh screen in the openings because i am worried about someone's phone or wallet falling out. But i like the cost of the basic tube door. Anyone have any experience with the DV8 or ADD doors? If i settle for tube style doors I'm thinking rough country or rugged ridge. Any feedback on any of these options would be greatly appreciated. Below is a picture of my jeep from last night after playing in some mud for the first time. :)
And some picture of the door options.

Love the DV8 doors! But for me, I think the ADD takes the top spot! Thanks for posting!

I'm with the DV8s as well, the panel color matched (Firecracker Red in my instance) to the vehicle with the mesh sprayed black. One thing I'd modify a bit is the mesh. I don't like the unfinished look regarding the perimeter of the mesh, as viewed from the inside of the vehicle. I'd attach some sort of frame so you're not witnessing half holes and jagged edges.

I purchased the Rugged Ridge Fortis. I had a set of the older Rugged Ridge on my JKU and really liked them. These new ones feel much heavier.

Call me a nut but I think the factory doors are the way to go despite the price.
Kind of wish I would've ordered them with my Jeep. You can't order them after the fact can you?

I thought about asking someone that was getting a sarge to add them to their order and then buy them off of them, but probably hard to find someone to do that...........

I'm fairly certain you can order them. You'd need to link with your local Jeep dodge whatever dealership and have them order them for you. You can pretty much order anything custom from jeep nowadays. There's a kid here who ordered custom red leather seats for his 392 all from factory. Couldn't believe it.

I called my dealer and they are checking on it. Don't know details yet. Don't know how will work with keyless entry and factory key, etc....... Will keep posted as to what they say......May end up being too expensive if I have to piece everything together.

Will be close to 9 -10 K when pieced together plus paint, cheaper to buy a used set and have them re-painted if they don't match.

There are new sets online you just have to foot the Bill for the paint. It shouldn’t be anymore than $6k after that you’re getting ripped off.

I'm glad I got half with my order (I think) but that damn paint mismatch!

Half doors are very nice. Reasonably quiet with top up and uppers on after you get them adjusted. Good way to set final tensions on the posts is to get someone else to drive when it is bright outside and you can see light if door pulls away at speed and then make some tweaks to get it just right. Can push and pull on window frame while someone else drives to make sure everything is good. Gets kind of loud after 75mph, but we all quickly got used to it. Only drawback is my 12 year old, who loves to freshen the air for us, farted. My wife reached to roll the window down.......no dice...Took her a few seconds to get window unzipped :)

Driving around with top down and uppers off is awesome. Feels very different than just having window down on full door. My 15 year old with her learners permit was beside herself driving it like this. My plan is to drive with the half doors until winter....may switch back to full doors for a couple months when it is scorching hot in July or August, but will see. I made a rack to hang all 4 regular doors in my steel building for summer and can hang the half doors there in winter.

The half doors just add to the lego block nature of the jeep and give you more configurations. I like mixing it up as the different combinations completely change the character and driving experience of the jeep.

The half doors with uppers on make the sarge jeep look and feel like a military vehicle to me.

SO gorgeous. Man I am kicking myself so hard for not ordering these with mine. It seems to be the common consensus that half-doors are not orderable after-the-fact (separately), and now I forget... did you end up getting yours 3rd party?

Super looking forward to my sarge XR and will probably just have to find them from someone who doesn't want theirs, and hopefully not have to pay *too* much for them.

ALSO - worth noting I believe there are 3rd party companies that make fabric mesh liners for tube doors, in case anyone decides to go the aftermarket half-door route.

Bought sting gray off a 2021 Willy’s and had repainted. Proximity door locks work. Bsm mirrors ordered but not here yet
