Folks,
I just ordered mine and cannot tell you how much I have learned lurking for the past few days. I am 75 years old and have owned many Jeeps but this next one is so special. It is white with a black grill and upper body graphics with a one-touch top. I got the towing Package and the dealer has promised me that the delivered vehicle will have all the XR goodies that are now unavailable. But if the dealer screws me I will outfit this once in a lifetime Jeep exactly as this cowboy wants. I am too old to deal with recalcitrant dealers. Life is too short. I too was lurking for a good long while on here to figure out my own "once in a lifetime Jeep". So you're in good company. As far as the dealership screwing you over, I too was worried about the exact same fate. It actually turned out fine, they delivered what I ordered, at the agreed upon price, "on time" (their timeline, not mine). So I'd like to believe it will turn out all right for you as well.
As far as ordering parts early, I didn't and so far its saved me a set of wheel locks (that were pre-installed for free) and a Fox steering stabilizer, that I have't really found the need for yet. It was nice to see and drive the vehicle first then figure out what I wanted to customize.

I can tell you the Sky One-Touch Top is a game changer. I used it today and it was only 47 degrees outside. I was considering a Bronco but that top was a deal breaker for my wife. It turns out she is always right.

Your right, Life is to short, but now that your getting a 392 its about to get a hell of a lot more fun!
