New Member waiting on the new Moab to arrive

Hello all,

Happy to find a new forum with lots of information about the 392. I just ordered the new Moab 392, and still don’t have a clue when I will actually see it. This will be my 3rd Jeep, and hoping that it proves to be my all time favorite.

First one was a YJ while I was in college. It was a 2 door with the straight 6 motor and a manual transmission. I couldn’t afford any mods, but had a ball in that jeep that saw multiple spring breaks, and an unplanned Woodstock trip. Soft top with the half doors, and vinyl seats and no floor covering.

Long time since then got my second, a 2019 JLUR with the 3.6 v6 engine. Bought that one to take out to Reno for a job, drive to NV from Ohio and picked up a lift kit from Teraflex on the way with a short stop at their shop in Utah. I installed the lift in the garage of my rental place, with borrowed tools, then got 37’s and wheels and a steering smarts kit to fight off the death wobble that it had. Again had a blast with that jeep, planned to do the Rubicon trail while in NV, but the job was cut short and I didn’t end up getting to do it. Sold that one a couple years ago, and have missed my oversized four wheeler ever since.

Been thinking about a new Jeep for a while now…. And got my wife on board with it, so I placed an order for the new Moab 392 in the 41 color. As of yet no timeline for delivery, so I’m looking to learn as much as I can before it arrives. Looking forward to reading all the stories and learning from the group.

Clynwoodg, the Anvil was my next choice, that’s going to be a great looking rig!

I saw an update, sort of…. My order status is BG, and the full VIN hasn’t been updated yet. On the update it showed about 14 others, most ordered within a couple weeks of mine, with ship dates showing mid January! I know those aren’t solid dates yet, but maybe my wait won’t be as long as I thought!

Welcome aboard, you’ll love it! No other Jeep like it! I went through 7 JKs b4 getting my 2023 White 392; BEST JEEP EVER

Eta for dealers is early January. The best part of the 392 is taking a piss break on the side of I-95 or 80 then gunning back on the interstate. You're cruising with the flow of traffic in a blink. Not sure of black, white or 41. Red is always the nicest to look at but I can't see myself in it. Not my character. Silver zenith would have been money, but not on offer. Raider Nation!

Looks like mine was ordered the day after yours. I’m also BG. I bet ours are on the same delivery truck when they arrive.

Your drive will be shorter than mine.

Looking at the update they put on the forums it may arrive while I’m on vacation in early February. I’m hoping to fly down & drive it home to Ohio, but might become a timing thing. I figured it would be a May/June thing, but after that update I started ordering some things for it already…..

My plans are the same. Kinda figured May/June also but looks like may be early. We may see each other when we pick them up.

Mid January? Yikes! I gotta get my finances in order! I assumed 2 to 3 months like my last JL.

For anyone curious on timelines, I just got an update on my order overnight to "in-production" with an ETA of 2/3/26 (was ordered 11/22). I would imagine it will probably arrive before that date and they are just adding some buffer.

That is great, I just checked and didn’t see any update on my order, still says they have no information on the Jeep site. My order went in 12/9 so it hasn’t been long enough to see anything yet.

I do have a few small things showing up today (early Xmas presents for the jeep I won’t have yet)

Today is the first time that my order shows on Jeep’s website! Not scheduled yet, but at least it’s a step in the right direction.

My brother in law works at the plant in Toledo, they won’t be running the line for another week yet, so maybe it will get scheduled soon.

I know when I ordered mine, I watched the tracker constantly. Mine reported that it was built on the 22nd of March 2024 and I picked it up at the dealer the next day. So hopefully they already have yours scheduled or in production already.

From when I ordered mine at the dealer, it took a month and one day for me to get it. Not sure if it was because they were tooling up the line as I ordered or if it was just a fluke.

I figured things would be shut down for the holiday. I tried putting my vin in the tracker from the JL Forum and I got nothing. Is there an updated tracker that I don’t know about?

Plug in your VON (from your order sheet the dealer gave you) and dealer name. You'll get a page that shows status. Apparently this only gets updated weekly (Sunday, as near as I can tell). This is about as good of info as you can get at this time. Dealers may be able to check order status, which will show any issues, and more granular status... but don't hold your breath.
