So far I have not seen any 392's here. This one fell into my lap at a local dealership that took this Special Order back in for a trade to a SRT Durango. Was purchased for his wife but was too high so he traded it back in. Only had 5000 miles and fully loaded with all options (bit not the XR) package. Otherwise I would have had to wait for 5-6 months for my order and pay for shipping or dive it myself to Alaska.

Have put about 800 miles and took it off-road yesterday but nothing too extreme. Got to play with 4 Low and Manual Shifting on some parts.

Very happy to have this without waiting.

Congrats and hi from a former Alaskan. That looks like Hatcher’s Pass in the background.

Very cool! I live in Anchorage and ordered a 392 a few weeks back to replace my 2018. Playing the waiting game now.

Welcome to the forum @AlaskaGriz - Congrats on the new 392! Keep an eye out for the Jeep of the Month photo contest as you have the perfect environment to win it! (y)

Yes, you nailed. it.

These are very special rigs.

I ordered my sting grey XR July 2nd and am planning on an Alcan trip to visit my old stomping grounds in Eagle River. Might have to take it up to Hatchers Pass too. I miss that place.

That is awesome!!! Congratulations. I am new at owning a Jeep so need to learn about accessories and what to carry when going offroad.

Congratulations and welcome to the group!

If you’re on Facebook, the “Jeep’n Alaska” group is very active and good for local Jeep info.

A really cool unique trip is going out to Knik Glacier in the winter (usually January is a good time). Pretty epic you can drive 45mins from anchorage, jump on a trail and be on a glacial lake in just a couple hours!

I’m a big fan of AEV’s accessories. Excellent design and engineering, in my opinion. Had a 2016 JKU kitted in AEV and loved it.

Thank you for the tip about AEV. I'll check them out.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have had ATV's and SxS for many years. Moving away from that type of offroading to Jeeping. I've been to Knik many times. It's absolutely beautiful there. Pictures turn out spectacular.
