I just bought a 23 392 from granger. They had put 35's on it at the dealer. The speedo is off 3 mph. They told me today that they won't fix it, If is is off 3mph off or less, but I can buy a kit to do it. Does it seem unreasonable to expect a 90k vehicle to have an accurate speedo?

Get a Tazer or Ecri. I’ve been meaning to get mine corrected. I’ve driven my non XR for well over a year with the Speedo off by probably 2-3mph since I have 35’s as well.

They are lazy. When I bought my 2024 XR on 35’s I checked it with GPS. It read 1 mph high. Pretty close. When the dealership installed 37’s for me they reflashed the Speedo. It is still just barely 1 mph high vs gps. Have them take a minute and flash it for 35’s.

One could argue that if speedometer is off, then transmission shift points could also not be optimal.
Is it a non-XR that came with 33" tires that they put 35" tires on?

3 off at 60mph. Yes, came with 33's, dealer installed 35's.

Very surprised they did not offer to re-flash. I'd call them back and talk with Service Manager. He will know that it's wrong. Your shift points will be off slightly if not re-flashed.

The TPMS is set too hit anyway. I get surprised with how many people just live with that issue. 3mph off is nothing compared to having the TPMS warning all the time. 35s should be at 32 psi on a 392 at most.

Get a tazer or JScan or aev tool or whatever and change the tire size and lower the TPMS warning to 30 psi…

Or an ECRI which allows calibration to your tire size while driving along with changing TPMS thresholds.

Agree with Tazer, but dealer should do it free. Not sure why it would even be an issue if dealer installed larger tires?
