Mystery bracket...

Took delivery of my Sting Gray last night and loving it! Took about 6 weeks from order. Didn't get my window sticker until after I had picked it up for some reason...

Planning a number of things, but stubby was the first and fastest thing to happen.

Anyways, looking it over and I see this white sheet metal flange hanging down through the frame. Anyone have any idea what it is?

Looks like a retainer bracket for a nut that fits into the frame. Not sure if there all like that or if that's just the one they grabbed off the shelf so to speak but it does stick out.

That tab holds a nut on the inside of the frame. It is so you can set the nut in place to attach the trailing arm during assembly.

Thanks. Seems kinda odd the way it sticks out. You'd think they would bend a 90 on it to tuck it against the frame

Only took six weeks from order; who do you know! That is amazing, congrats. I ordered on Nov. 25th and still waiting. I think those of us that live on the west side of the Mississippi are in the leftover list. Trying to be patient, but is difficult.

That’s crazy. Ordered in Nov and still waiting. I was going crazy just waiting from May to delivery in July. One thing I can say is you’ll love it when you get it.

Or just paint it black so you don’t notice it...or paint it bronze I’m just not brave enough to try and adjust it.

Not really; maybe just the little bit of scuffing that is there from where the ends were.

I have a Sahara Unlimited and it is the same way. I am waiting on the 2022 order fulfillment process for a 392.

Agreed. I had a 2012 JKUR, Sahara Tan which I understood was one of about 500 Sahara Tan Rubies to exist.
Still wish I had it…
love the 392 though!
