I have been driving a truck over the road for years. No house or apartment, just living in the semi and taking a vacation occasionally. So, I have a box office at a ups store that I have everything sent to. The next couple of weeks are going to be hell for them, and I’ve already told them what was coming. The next few weeks I’ll have a full lift kit, fox 2.5 shocks, steering stabilizer, front bumper, warn winch, full under armor, RSE step sliders, LP6 lights, and a full sized soft top, plus a bunch of smaller misc stuff. I’ve told them that if it gets to be too much, I’d get someone to come pick up the big stuff since I may not be there till mid June. Luckily I’ve been with them a long time. But their store isn’t huge.

I’ll be installing all of this stuff myself, which is going to be quite the challenge since I’ve never done any of it before. But I think I’m capable, and should be more satisfying in the end.

That's a fair amount of fun work. Better get busy, winter is around the corner in ND.

Sounds like a legendary lifestyle! Just wondering do you store your 392 somewhere while you are on road in the semi?

I have a small storage unit for it now that it barely fits in. I am going to get a larger one before I start this work so that I have a place to do it. Not all storage units allow that, but some do.

I was just about to say that I've run into problems like this before living in the city. And even the ones that say they allow it will complain to you when someone complains to them.

I work a a medical clinic and often have stuff shipped to my job. If they see a shipment coming with tires or rock rails or otherwise big heavy boxes, they roll their eyes and bring them to my office ;)

You will get a ton of satisfaction from doing the install yourself. Can be frustrated at times due to the inevitable speed bumps, but in the end that all adds to the experience and plus when you are done, you know it is done right.
