Mounting Tires on XR Wheels

Got a set of spare XR wheels for my Gladiator - I want to have the TPMS swapped over. Does the trim covering the beadlock bolt holes need to be removed before doing any tire work? Thinking the local shop may not know.....

When I had mine done at Discount they had me remove them (I came prepared thinking it was probable).
They said there was a good chance of scuffing the ring when rolling the tire on or off.
They also had me remount the rings before balancing and this particular store only does road force balancing, which is a plus.

I removed them before having tires installed so Discount tire could not gouge them up. At the time I forgot about the affect it might have on tire balance but it all worked out.
