The single best upgrade that can be done on these 392's is replacing the front dash speakers. The best sounding and fitting speakers I have found are the Infinity Reference 3032 speakers. They are 3-ohm drivers with an integrated tweeter and truly sound amazing. The best part is they are $50 for the pair on Amazon. :) (You do have to clip the mounting tabs a little on the new speakers for them to fit).

If you don't want to cut and splice the wires, you can also purchase this adapter kit that makes it totally plug and play. However, be warned, the last set I purchased (for a friend), the polarity on the wires was backwards. So I had to remove the pins and change positions (takes all of 10 seconds).

This is the best $60 you can spend for upgrades. Total install time is less than 10 minutes. Pop the grills, two screws, install new speakers, two screws and push the grill back on.

I saw this thread a while back and I'm finally ordering these today. My hearing is pretty bad and the jeep sounds very muffled to me. I have the alpine in my ram laramie and it's awesome but the Jeep Alpine is lacking. Have you found any to switch out the sound bar or knee speakers?

I have a ram Laramie and it’s one of the best stock systems i have ever heard (for my taste anyway).

Are these for the speakers on top of the dash or the ones by your knees?
