MBRP Straight Pipe anyone?

Has anyone removed the muffler and tips to get better departure angle instead of adding a skid plate which makes it worse? I’m thinking MBRP straight pipe, but don’t want to piss off my neighbors. On a different thread, someone said it wasn’t too much louder, just added vibration inside the cab (resonance?).
