The exhaust drone is turned up to 10. It's a double what the 23 is. Don't know what is to blame. New sound deadening or different factory tune. Doesn't matter if exhaust is opened or closed.

Hmmm... It always sounds fairly quiet to my ears when I turn off the loud exhaust mode on a rare occasion...

Something's wrong. Double check your exhaust

I agree. My 24 is louder than my past 22. Steering feels tight too. And I’m showing worse gas mileage. 9 mpg WTH..🤔

No exhaust drone on mine.

Might want to check your exhaust system......

I agree - my 2024 has much worse drone than my 2021 392 did.

I spent some time trying to quell the drone but to little avail. I tried sound deadening in the trunk and back seats, removed the ANC mics, even unplugged the sub entirely to test things out but those measures only helped a little (I eventually reversed all of that). I do find myself driving with the exhaust off more than I did in my 2021. That drone on decel is killer.

That is what I am talking about exactly. On deceleration.

Is this droning only with the exhaust on?
I leave mine off is why I ask.

It isn't as bad with the exhaust off. With your foot of the gas it starts at 2000 rpm and stops at 1500 rpm. It is most intense from 1900-1600 rpm. It's a very loud bass drone. Annoying like when you only have one window down in the back.

I noticed something similar to this in my 24. Very low deep sound randomly at lower RPMs when decelerating slightly.

Sent my son in the back of the Jeep for a drive and narrowed it down to the subwoofer. It seems to be the "noise cancellation" kicking in. Once I realized that I almost never hear it anymore.

This exact thing had bothered me during the first two weeks of ownership, but there isn’t anything I can do to get rid of this low deep sound under deceleration. So I’ve realized to just accept how it is and enjoy.

The work around I am using is to use the paddle shift to down shift twice (double tap) when it starts to annoy and then to hold the up shift paddle down till it goes back to auto shifting when it starts to make the noise again.

I’ve filled up completely twice and I don’t have 200 miles. I’ve been taking it easy with it being new. I’ve driven a lot of vehicles with bad mileage but this has to be the worst. Not that I really care as I love it but I’d relegate it to a weekend toy if my commute wasn’t six miles round trip

Your mileage will improve after break in 1500 or so mine burned about 1/8 of an inch off the top of the dip stick. After that it burns no oil I get 15-16 mpg

Mine never got better. Average is about 10 mpg which is about the same as my TRX which was about the same as my AMG.

I got 7 MPG pulling 16 foot wood floor trailer with rims and tires on it. CRAZY>. will have to stop 10 times on the way to Daytona. Should have put bigger tank.

I have a 2024 and it's not bad to my ears on light load.

It's the MDS kicking in and out
