'22 392 XR ordered Jan 21 2022 -------------- Picked up Aug 22 2022!
Hi Friends,

Super pumped to report that I *just* pulled the trigger on a build deposit! No vin yet, but my adrenaline is through the roof after sending the initial payment. Had to check in and tell someone who cares. I know you all care <3

I also listed my 2010 JK for sale today, and already got bites on it for more than what I paid for it a DECADE ago. Well, at least what I paid for it stock :ROFLMAO:

It's gonna be a long wait, but I'm also grateful that I'm not really in any hurry. I'm also super grateful for this forum for all the purchasing advice I picked up. Thank you all! Ok, starting to feel like this is an award acceptance speech.. I'll take a breath.

This'll be my first *new* vehicle purchase/build. Got laid off in Oct 2020, but I doubled down and started my own business with my brother, and we've been working super hard. Lots to be grateful for!

Thanks for reading down this far. I'll see y'all in the threads and on the trails!

Congrats again, @dog !But even bigger congrats on getting a new business up in running in this fubar’d times we live in. That in itself is impressive. Most impressive.

Thanks @YukonCornelius ! We do live stream production and video engineering/consulting stuff. Good business to be in when everyone was forced to dive into remote work! Previous job was automation related, so it has been a great fit!

Congrats on your business and new order! The wait will be torture, but in the end so worth it. The 392 is an amazing machine!

I was able to hold onto my JLUR until it was time to pick up my 392. Don’t sell your JK too soon or you might find yourself suffering some serious withdrawals! 😱

I know, I was worried about that too! I kind of just wanted to test the Los Angeles market for a 10-year old jeep. The second I walked outside after posting the ad, Rocket (my jeep) gave me the saddest, most guilt-trippy look I've ever seen. Trying my best to remember Rocket will be someone else's *new* jeep and it's the beginning of a new journey for both of us.

On that note, I named 'er Rocket because she's the opposite of fast (and she's red, haha). Now that I have a green 392 on the way, going to need a name that's as... appropriate!

Congrats on the new ride! Agreed, the wait is brutal. But I smile everyday when I start it up. Totally worth it.
I sold my 2012 JK for about $1k less than I paid for it too , when I bought it new. It is a crazy used market. Best of luck on both.

Thanks so much! Happy to hear you were successful with the sale of your pre-loved JK. I'm not in any hurry to sell (as that'll mean I share a car with the GF for a while), but I'll also take any decent offers, since I'm not entirely sure how long this market will last! How long did you end up waiting in total for your new build? Does the wait get better or worse? Haha :)

Welcome to the forum @dog and congrats on the 392 order! 🍻
Thanks @willy !! I'm ultra amped! Much appreciation for the congrats <3

I had buyers and sellers remorse after trading my 2012 JKUR in for a 2017 Jeep GC SRT. The ONLY reason I bought that SRT, was for the motor. 4 “painful” years later, I am fortunate to be able to get the JL 392 and love it!
BTW, we may need to connect. I am working on some projects and may be able to use your services. My office is in OC.

And now you've got the best of both worlds! Happy to hear you love it, I'm looking forward to loving mine too.

Would be happy to connect, we do all kinds of fully remote as well as on-site video production for live streaming applications. I'll shoot you a message!
