Ordered one myself, waiting on shipment. With the discount I paid $318.94.
I am asking myself if I just overpaid for $20 worth of ss muffler pipe?
Wonder what type of stainless steel the factory exhaust is made of?High quality H-pipes are designed and manufactured to exacting standards in order to provide optimal performance and durability.
One important factor to consider is the quality of the stainless steel used to make the h-pipe. MRT only uses T304 stainless steel for exhaust components due to its strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion and heat. However, not all stainless steel is created equal and other competitors in the exhaust market can offer a super cheap price for a product that will only last a few years before it corrodes and no longer operates as it was supposed to. All MRT exhaust systems are designed and manufactured to last the lifetime of your vehicle. Rest assured you will be installing a quality product that far surpasses anything on the market.
In addition to the quality of the materials, the craftsmanship is an important consideration as well. Each 392 H-Pipe is handcrafted in house at our location based in Plymouth, Mi by our talented team.
I've posted this elsewhere so buyers are aware.
There are some fitment issues with this h-pipe. It's barely long enough and the relief cuts which allow the ends to clamp are a bit too long. This causes leaks.
I installed this 2 weeks ago or so and after some time finagling I'm still dealing with exhaust leaks at 3 of the 4 junctures. Mine also had red writing on it making it look like it was some sort of prototype for the jig.
Albeit the unit is secure and i'm not worried about any 'issues' i would have preferred a better seal. I'd also recommend loosening the two oem clamps right above the muffler to allow for a bit more adjustment.
Sound wise if OEM quiet mode was 3, this is a 3.5.
OEM performance mode on is a 6, this is a 7. You also get a few more burbles and pops.
That's why I asked if anyone was welding these H-pipes on instead of using clamps at the rear connection?
So are you recommending cutting the factory exhaust closer to factory resonator to give more exhaust pipe lenght?
the cheap kind hahaWonder what type of stainless steel the factory exhaust is made of?
I installed the MRT pipe this am, and I LOVE it! Easy install too. On my particular application the pipe area after the resonator is more than adequate for a good seal. Others have mentioned it being too short and or the slots not covering the pipe. I did not have those or any other issues. Very happy with everything.

Very well made setup, but a bit loud for the split second start up for my close neighbors early mornings. When open at full, or close to WOT, it’s super loud. Taking mine off and Will have for sale shortly for $250.Installed my H-pipe today. Had the rear pipes welded but clamped front pipes so muffler could be removed for service if necessary. Did weld front clamp to h-pipe to help incase clamps were to loosen. My initial impression is now when in Performance mode it is just louder. Not a deeper tone like some say you get if going from a X-pipe to a H-pipe. Quiet mode is still quiet, hasn't changed much at all, if any.
I did shine a flashlight through one end of the factory resonator and took a couple of pics. The X section of the factory resonator is all open, one side to the other. Definitely no restriction in factory resonator system.View attachment 20570View attachment 20571
To me, now driving around town in Performance mode and at normal throttle, sounds better, little louder.
Kind of like how the factory cold startup in Performance mode starts out louder, then quietens some.....that would be a close comparison to installing the resonator delete H-pipe...just a little louder.
Good thing is that if in Quiet mode, Jeep is still quiet for longer hwy trips.
