Jeep

To remind you the key has left the vehicle with the engine running. It’s designed to prevent someone (like you wife for example, if you get out with the key in your pocket) from unknowingly driving off without the fob.

I thought Tazer was the only way to turn it off.

Might think twice about that though. I have known people to do this and get stranded as soon as they turn off the engine.

when the Jeep is running and I get out with the key fob in my pocket the horn chirps 3 times...
Just curious...is exiting your Jeep while its running so typical that the three short beeps have become intolerable? I’m not judging -- I know from experience it gets damn cold in Leadville -- I spent 2 winters in Glasgow, Montana where unoccupied, unlocked, running vehicles were common -- and I read Leadville’s auto theft rate is well below the national average -- but why risk it?
