Good Morning everyone,

Looking for some input from the community—appreciate any insight.

We just welcomed our first baby in June, and he’ll be coming home in September. I’ve been researching digital dash cam options for my wife’s JL392 and really like the Wolfbox G900 TriPro Cabin Version (3-channel setup): https://wolfbox.com/products/wolfbox-g900tripro-cabin-version-3-channel-dash-camera

The issue? The in-cabin camera cable is only 0.5 meters long, and Wolfbox doesn’t offer an extension. Our plan was to mount the cabin cam near the rear headrest to keep an eye on the car seat, but the current cable length makes that tough.

Has anyone used this setup and knows what type of cable it uses for the cabin cam? Wondering if there’s a way to DIY an extension since I haven’t found anything else quite like this for the Jeep.

I have the G900 TriPro Bumper version. It has cable long enough t reach the front and rear bumpers (one of which looks to be a usb-c cable that could be extended?)

Instead of running one to the front bumper, you could just put it in the back just about anywhere you'd want it. We already have a front facing camera, so the extra bumper cam is pretty pointless, unless like me you want to automatically record content while on the trail.

That could definitely work, not sure why I did not think of that one!

I just ordered the VanTrue dash cam with multiple cabin cameras. might consider this one as well

I’ve looked into the Wolfbox G900 TriPro Cabin Version and the short 0.5 meter cable is definitely a limiting factor. The manufacturer and others on forums don’t recommend extending the cabin cam cable because it can cause signal loss or interference, so trying to run it to a rear headrest in the JL392 is risky. You could leave the cabin camera up front as intended, which will still capture some of the back seats, or consider a separate small camera aimed at the car seat for better coverage. That way you avoid splicing and potential video issues while still keeping an eye on your little one.
