They are frame mounted rails and the fitment was pretty much perfect.

I included a photo of the U-bolt connection. By far, that was the most difficult portion of the install. Westin includes some poly washers to keep the U-bolt in place while aligning the rail to the vehicle. However, in my experience, it is not enough, and the rail is far too easy to dislodge the poly washer.

I had a second person help align that end of the rail...which definitely made the process easier. Although, even with the second person, it was difficult not to dislodge the washer and have the U-bolt fall into the frame (easily removed from the frame, though).

One tip...the U-bolt takes a flat washer & a lock washer before the nut. The length of the U-bolt is rather short...I assume by design for clearance for another installation bolt. I found it much, much easier to simply place the nut on the U-bolt to prevent slippage into the frame while aligning everything properly...and then pulling off one nut at a time to install the required washers. Far easier than assembling both washers before the rail is fully aligned.

While subjective...I think they look great, and they appear to be well constructed.

On a side note...if anyone is in Tucson, AZ that wants my take-off stock Rubicon rails they are yours.

Nice touch w the bronze nuts. Rails look great!

Those look slick.

I’m guessing you had them powder coated as I don’t think that’s an option from AEV?
You are correct that AEV doesn't powder coat, but they do paint wheels.

The wheel, as you see it, is an option direct from AEV and was added to my JL370 package.
