I just picked up our 392 and drove it 800 miles back home. On the way back, going 80+ for extended periods of time, it appears the drivers side fender liner blew out and rubbed against the tire. So...instead of replacing it with the factory crappy ones, I'll usedthis as an opportunity to upgrade. Upon further research, it looks like there are only 47 companies that make aftermarket inner fenders for the JL's ...ha! I believe I have my search narrowed down, American Adventure Lab is in the top spot for my money. They specifically state they will fit the 392 and they have a quick release with dzus fasteners. I'm an aircraft mechanic, and a big fan of dzus fasteners. Are there any other inner fenders worth looking at? I'm also not a big fan of ridiculously giant logos...etc.

I just installed the AAL inner fenders on my 392 along with their high line fender chop brackets. They powder coated them satin black. Their logo is really small compared to most others. I had them paint the screen behind the logo red to match my Jeep. They look really clean. You have to order the diesel version for the 392 btw. Same fitment issues with windshield washer reservoir on the driver side.

I like the way those look on your Jeep, I'll be getting those fender lights also, nicest looking I've seen so far. Thanks for the pics. I'm also going to look into the Motobilt ones because they have a big M in the middle, and the wife likes that (her name starts with M...ha!). I believe I may paint mine vs powdercoat, I have all the equipment, and I find it easier than shipping things off to the powdercoater, plus its easier to repair.

They were on my highly custom build and I have since learned that they are very well respected in the industry. I needed a part that they will only sell to people that buy their product and I had no proof of purchase. The owner happened to pick up the phone when I called and he said if I took a pic of my Jeep with his parts he would be happy to honor the sale even without proof of purchase. They have some other really cool stuff.

The high line fender bracket from AAL includes the led light. You can get RBG or white. I just got the white ones. The LED fender light is very slim compared to the factory ones. They look very clean and well made. The blinker is pretty cool too for added bonus. It moves inside out towards the direction you are turning.

Most have already touched on this, but almost a requirement to replace fenders with inner liners. There is a video where some have trimmed the liner to still use the factory fenders - definitely an option. I had the go rhino on my jk and loved the ability to paint the mesh with an accent color. Have already checked on the go rhino for the jl - a bit different but still allow the mesh to be painted. I just have not fell in love with any after market fenders because of the turn signal requirement. Would love to see more pics from those who have already gone with fenders.

I am pretty sure they come standard but make sure you get the "Bulb out fix harness" as the Jeep will sense a different voltage and it will tell you that you have a bulb out. That is another reason to get their product. There manufacturers dont have that and AAL wont sell you the fix to that problem if you dont buy their fender.

I think there was an option to tell them what light package you have, LED vs Halogen. Mine did come with the anti flicker harness. The mesh is paintable. They can for a few more dollars. I had them powder coat the inner fenders satin black, the mesh red and the actual brackets red. And they offer all of the hardware even the mesh hardware in black or silver.

Yours came out fantastic, I'm about to pull the trigger on the same thing. I'll also order the fender chop bracket and light, but I believe they are on backorder. So far, I've only found two companies that offer inner fenders for the 392, AAL and Artec, so that limits the choices.

Yep, I can see the requirement, the fender liners suck.

The fender brackets from AAL are made in house at their shop. They do get their lights from China so you will be waiting on those. I waited 2 months. Very nice tho, I think it was worth the wait.
