So she made a funny noise and what I thought was maybe something in the tranny as this was a rotational sound but not directly tied to RPM. I did the right thing, parked her, went and rented a trailer and hauled her to the service department. She spun a main bearing and the solution is to replace the whole motor. Just over 6 months old and at 4400 and now this, unbelievable. She was already down for 3 weeks back in February for a transfer case motor which was engaging the front axle full-time. I may just sell when I get her back, this is killing me.

Ugh! That just plain S-U-C-K-S! I feel your pain!
Hope Jeep can make it right! Any other time, I'm sure it'd be much smoother but in this day and age of "supply chain blah blah blah..." my fingers are crossed for you!

Thanks Yukon. And I certainly don 't have the patience that you have shown to everyone here.

I got her back on Monday and I’m very satisfied. I’ll post a pic of the service report later, just the long block was like 12k. I’ve looked and I can’t find any sign of this major of a project, no scratches, everything aligned, wires routed properly, I’m impressed. So I’ll give a shout out to Dayton-Andrews in Clearwater. Doing break-in again but I’m over 300 so getting there. Drove Tampa to Orlando this afternoon, top down and just awesome.

Glad you are back in business and that it didn't take forever. Probably seemed like forever though. Enjoy the beast. Truly wonderful machines. :)

Glad to hear it turned out well for you, and hope you love the Jeep again! Did they reset the odometer for the new motor?

Great news brother! Glad ‘yer back on the road!

No, they did miss setting the oil life but that was an easy do for me. I was not in any way expecting an unnoticeable swap, but visually you can’t tell. I’ve been nothing but smiles since picking her up.
