Hello, all. What is the best hood lock that seems to be preferred amongst the group?

Years ago, I had a locking hood latch on my 2012 JKR, very similar to the DV8 offering shown below, except it had a locking clevis pin on the top of the latch. I very much liked those, and prefer the look of them (as well as the adjustability), but I cannot find that same style that locks. Any suggestions? Is the MOPAR hood lock a viable alternative?

My thanks in advance.

I don't think the Mopar hood lock will fit with the forward facing camera installed.

I had this same issue so I looked at keyed hood locks that replace the existing OEM ones but I didn't want to keep track of another set of small keys.

This might be a different direction that what your looking for but... I wanted to keep it OEM (and fully automatic) so I installed the LasFit Stealth hood lock. It uses a small pneumatic pump to slide "lock" the factory hood latch when you lock the doors using the fob or keyless entry. I installed it in 2022 and I check it every once in a while and it's been working fine for years. I carry a tiny bicycle pump in the tool box because I was worried about it getting stuck but in 4 years I've never had an issue. As an added bonus, occasionally I find myself having to park in a sketchy area but if you pull the starter fuse "F02" there is no way to start the vehicle. I did a whole post if your interested, but here are a few pics from that post that show the setup:

Thanks for the great info; I will check this out. I like the stealthy aspect of this.

I installed the LasFit hood lock kit a couple of months ago, and it has been working great; definitely a great option in my opinion!
