Hello from Dubai

Hi All,

I was scouting around to see what people were saying about the 392 in general, after taking delivery of mine a few weeks. I sold my Jaguar FType and JK to fund the 392. I am from the UK but have lived in Dubai for nearly 10 years now. I've done a lot of motorsport in the past, but mainly on track, I bought my JK 2 years ago and really got into off roading, in particular desert driving and now I am an instructor. I love it.

Anyway I just wanted to say hi.

Mods include:

Front brake pads upgraded to EBC Yellow Stuff (Massive difference)
35 tires and wheels to match the gold accents (With the snazberry colour is very much iron man esc lol)
Bullet aerial
Teraflex Falcon Adjustable Shocks
Power Steps
Wireless Car Play Adapter
ARB twin piston compressor under seat
APEX Rapid Valves
Teraflex quick release flag mount.

Issues to report of:

Annoying dash rattle, sounds like loose coins vibrating, getting fixed under warranty at 5k (km) service. Seems to be worse when hot, currently 48 degrees C here right now.

With all the G wagons and other crazy expensive rides in Dubai, you've probably got the most unique desert runner out their. Congrats and I personally hope to hear more stories of the 392 ripping through the sand dunes!!

Lookin awesome, I was thinking snazz as well cause it reminds me of iron man too lol. Them adjustable falcons are amazing, I had em on an eco diesel and loved them. Congrats and hello from Texas!

As for the used market, there isnt one yet, people are fighting to try and buy one. It was the same for me. There is one independent dealer called offroad zone that sells them here but for USD25k more and with only 3 years warranty. Some dealers have imported some cars from the US and asking for USD40K more than asking price of AED360K, which is USD98K and what i paid.

Yes I love my falcons, had them on the JK too. I do feel that the JK handled better on the road, not for comfort just hard cornering but its all good. Dubai is all about straight line anyway. Unlike the UK there are very little fun roads here which is why i sold my FType. I need something that had an amazing sound, was quick and well ultimately allowed me to be able to go driving every weekend.

I'm loving mine! I had a few things I think quality control should have identified before releasing it... All paint related. The dealership is going to take care of it though. The paint protection film the factory installs on the doors is poor quality and is going to be replaced by a local shop.
She's a beautiful beast otherwise and I'm super happy with her

Good looking jeep and welcome.

For the non metric folks.......48C is 118F. That, my friends, is HOT!

Some folks have had heat related issues like inner fender liners going soft in the heat and issues with wiring being too close to exhaust and melting. Just be on the lookout.

I preemptively replaced my inner fender liners with vented ones from artec industries to hopefully prevent these issues. I live in deep south and it gets hot here too.......but not THAT hot. Whew.

Let us know how everything goes. You will be putting your jeep in more extreme conditions on a regular basis than most of ours in the states will ever see.

The 392 is awesome and you'll no doubt enjoy the heck out of it.

No idea just know they are 17 x 9 inch wheels, no spacers.
