For anyone getting bright lights flashing at you at night, it’s really easy to adjust your headlights on a JL. Even after installing my winch…which dropped the front 3/4 of an inch, I was still getting flashed at night, and not in a good way. Thought I’d share, plenty videos on it.

Whoa had no idea. Going to do this over the weekend. Thanks for posting!

Super useful and never knew it's adjustable! Thanks for sharing! I've only got flashed once so far but will definitely do it.

Thanks @BenLandry! I live in a very hilly, twisty road area and, with the 3.5" lift installed, I too have had my share of getting flashed by oncoming drivers. This will definitely help!

I used a long allen wrench on mine. Easy to do. I just kept turning them down little by little until I quit getting flashed. It is such a variable thing going down the road.. Watch how the line where the light cuts off moves up and down as you go over hills and dips. Mine still shines plenty far ahead, but is not in the eyes of oncoming drivers. And if you use the back up 25 feet thing and set it to 3 feet, this does not account for lift and even a little tilt up or down in the ground can make a difference. Not rocket science, nor does it have to be complicated. If you are not getting flashed, they are low enough. If they are not low enough, you will get flashed. Just like i flash people that leave their brights on. (or if they piss me off, I'll just put them on bright until they dim them)

I get a little annoyed when I get flashed, I am passing inspections. If you drive a car with your ass on the ground then put your sunglasses on or take responsibility for your decision and live with it. I flash people to let them know a cop is ahead or animals are potentially crossing the road.

I view it completely differently. We're the outlier with lifted vehicles with lights aimed high. It's on us to make our lights safe for others and Jeep makes it easy for us to do. Or be a dick and don't, your call. I just hope it's not my mother that you blind with your lights.

When I installed my headlights on my old Rubicon several years ago, it took me a couple of months to figure out why I kept getting brighted. I finally realized something was up when a cop flashed me. Lol
Thanks to google, I found a tutorial on how to adjust them and was surprised how easy it was. I felt bad about all the people I’d been blinding.
