Make me an offer. 1/2 doors in original boxes. SoCal area. Pls don’t bother for an offer below MSRP. Thanks

I tried buying the set in the link above but seller wasn’t really interested in shipping them and wanted to assume zero liability. In other words send the money and hope I actually received the doors and then hope they came with no damage. If you can’t source locally then maybe best to purchase from dealer and wait a year to get them😂😁🤣

They are not available at the dealer and I dont think they'll ever be. You have to buy from another 392 owner to get all the options like proximity sensors, heated mirrors etc. You could find them from other Jeep owners , different wrangler models, but if they are not from a 392 most likely the doors are going to miss some options.
Regarding shipping he is partially right. He is not a business and he has no idea who you are. He cant just take hem back if you decide you dont want them and claim they were damaged in shipping. These are bulky, and expensive to ship. If you are not happy with his shipping terms , drive to him and pick them up. You are in Sand Diego and he is in SoCal so at most 5 hours drive one way. Dont see the issue here.

I get all of that and was willing to pay regardless of the risk. I also set up shipping with a 1000k insurance on each box. My point was simply he wanted to sell locally so there was no liability. He is in Seattle and I am in San Diego. Not willing to burn a week to get them. Just want to help you with what you might be facing if you do find some. This was my experience……,, possibly won’t be yours.

FYI I live in FL, I buy my Jeeps in KY. I ordered 2 392's one for me and one for my brother. I ended up taking my brothers which came first. His Jeep went to DC from KY and the doors were shipped to me. It was a pallet stacked 5 feet high and cost $900 to ship.

It took me over an hour to unbox all the doors and tops. the dealer only sent what was sent from Jeep, they did not repackedge. It is quite a shipment.

How expensive was the re-key the doors and to reprogram the FOB ?

free I didnt do it I dont use the top half

dealer told me since they should have proximity keyless entry shouldn’t need a key to lock and unlock using remote or handle

proximity works only if the correct FOB is close to the door. If FOB is not paired with the door proximity wont work. It's like going next to another 392 that you dont own. Would you be able to open that jeep ? of course not

But wouldn't the proximity be checked by the onboard PCM or ECU or whatever?? Not what's in the doors.

good question. I guess you are right. You still need to key them in case your battery runs out the premim tops are on and you need to get in the car. I guess you can use the trunk to do just that

I certainly wish you luck....they are worth every penny - if you can find a seller then jump on them. I like mine so much if mine got damaged I would be willing to buy another color and repaint them. White would not be a difficult match for a good paint shop so perhaps expanding your search to any color will get you there!!

might be the smarter way to approach it, good idea..
