GMRS/CB/Camera_interference?

I was considering installing a GMRS but noticed the warning in the Uconnect manual about it potentially interfering with the SOS and airbag system. I’m confused about the wording. Is it ok if the unit is self powered or connected to an outlet or aux switch? Are they just saying not to hardwire it? Disconcerting..

The "Do not add aftermarket electrical equipment to the vehicle's electrical system" warning amuses me. They have provided a very convenient means to do that through the aux switches.

I was going to say, use the Aux switches. It’s possible to still have interference though. I have a hand held CB. I use the 12v plug in for it.

Sounds like a "CYA" from the lawyers. They know damn well people mod their Jeeps.
