2022 Jeep Rubicon 392
Good morning I purchased a set of Fuel wheels and trying to decide on tires.
The wheels are the Fuel Wheels Block Matte Bronze. My 392 is a non XR
  • Size: 18x9 - Front or Rear
  • Bolt Pattern: 5 x 127mm (5 x 5 Inch)
  • Offset: -12mm, -0.472 Inch
  • Backspacing: 4.53 Inch, 115mm
I would really like to put wider tires on the Jeep as I really don't like the stock look but at the same time don't want to mess up the handling. I use the 392 as a daily driver. We hardly, if ever will go off road(and if we do most likely only on the Beach). What is the widest tire I can go without rubbing issues with these rims.
Will a 325 60R18 work on my non XR if no rubbing or if not the 315 65 R18. I searched the forum and couldn't find these types of specifics so excuse me if I'm duplicating anything. Not really concerned with getting much more height just prefer the look of less rubber on the side.

I have 37x12.5 on 17x9 Fuel wheels. Probably going to 13.5 at some point in th near future. The 12.5's ride great! No rubbing.

See if you can exchange them for 17's and then i have 3 sets of tires for you that you can buy cheap, you are less then two hours from me.

this thread is a month old, do you still need help?

put in your number of what you want to buy, go to tire manufacturers site and find spec and size and they will tell you what you can run safely. then plug in that calculator above.

Toyo and Mickey both have a great A/T that they make in a regular and narrow width and those also happen to be my two favorite tires for a Jeep.

If you want Nittos then I am sorry I have to bow out, I cant contribute to the delinquency of a minor :)

Here is the "Me Too" tire you can see the sizes on the left and in the 6thn column you see 8.5 vs 9.0? you need 9 or less

Here is the "Cats Ass"

The first tire is a 33x12.5 and this means the specs were when tested on a 10 inch rim but you can run on as small as a 8.5

In the Me Too the specs when tested are the ( ) number

Same as before see the 34x12 vs the 33.12.5 one shorter and wider and other taller and narrower

Any questions let me know, now you now more than anyone that works at discount tire :)

you are 104 miles from me. I have a custom Jeep Only hobby shop> I have tested every JL and JT with almost every wheel and spacer,. My brother has same Jeep and same wheels as you and I have him running on the Toyo III and he is as happy as can be and her is extremely pickey

Imagine this, the best tire for your application and it has the best sizes. you can go to a 37 if you want if you are not going off road hard.
